Now that is exactly what I wanted to know! If you could post when/if you ever find out about it. Thank you.
You're the one with the issue. Get a dongle and mess around....let US know when YOU figure it out!!

It is functioning as intended.
I didn't know that until this thread, I missed the prior one(s). But if I had a 2025 with ACC and really wanted this, I'd definitely connect Forscan and look to see what changes when the trailer harness is connected. Then I'd try to see if that can be changed in Forscan and if it stays off.

That's a little beyond the average Lariat owner to figure out, but not impossible.

If I had a 22-24 and it worked and I towed a decent bit and then I got a 2025 and it didn't work....I would probably be a little miffed but OP is the one with the issue, least he can do is poke around Forscan and cross off the easy options....

As would I.

OP framing it as something the dealership should fix, though, is silly.

it's a valid initial opinion/thought, but to cling to that notion after it was pointed out in the '25 manual to be working as designed is completely wrong-headed. Ford and their dealerships are obviously not going to fix (or change) something that was designed by Ford.

you could definitely yell at Ford, but it'll get the same results as yelling at the sky when it rains. :D

Yes, the system is designed to disable lane centering when towing. However, they must have changed this sometime between MY 2023 and now. My '22 with 4K tow does allow lane centering when I tow. I keep it off however when towing.
Yes it did.
For 2025 Maverick no longer allows automatic Lane centering when towing a trailer.
In 2023 Ford eliminated automatic Lane centering on the F-150.
Owners have their panties in a bunch over there.

25 Hybrid with tow package, when towing any size trailer, the lane centering feature doesn't work. I brought it to the dealer, they looked at it for a couple of hours and said everything looked ok and to bring back with a trailer. Until I do, I have to tow the trailer with the light cord tucked in so it looks like it is connected but then dont have any lights (is is flatbed so truck lights visible). I take it on 12 hour drives and really want that feature to work (without disconnecting the light cord). I think when you pay for the safety features they should work, in concert with each other. I don't want to tow a camper cross country and not have the feature I purposely ordered the vehicle with not working. I bet it is "engineered" that way by some desk jockey. Any ideas? I am thinking I have to rewire a new trailer plug and tap off the tail and brake light wires (switched to LED, so the signal/brake circuit has lower amp draw). I will have to experiment with the brake circuit to see if the truck will realize and cancel the lane centering or not, if so then a aftermarket brake controller...what a mess! It will cancel the Lane centering even if trailer is small with not brakes (even set to min sizes or if the no trailer connected button is used).
I was just at my dealer and he told me it gets deactivated when towing.

it looks like Ford BlueCruise also is disabled when towing, but GM's Enhanced SuperCruise can operate when towing.

definite feature gap by Ford... they better get on it.

I can see both arguments. Lane centering keeps the truck more center in the lane and is more stable when driving. But it is also likely not sophisticated enough to recognize fishtailing when towing and would become a hazard as it overcorrects to keep you in the middle of the lane.

Maybe future version of BlueCruise will solve it but I would doubt they would put that much processing power in a budget truck.

The amazing thing too is like most things in cars now, it's just a simple software setting. Like how XL owners were putting cruise in their trucks and the like. It's all built in the computer, just gotta turn it on! Lemme guess, Ford will start going BMW's route of "subscription" options... 😂

Maybe you should inquire from Ford, why Lane centering is disabled (as the manual states) when towing a trailer.
I'm thinking one of the reasons is.
If the trailer starts to sway or has a tire blow out they feel that you, the actual driver with hands on the wheel, can correct it better without the lane centering system activated.

The dealer couldn't fix what isn't broken. 🤷‍♂️
IF it worked with a trailer and the trailer caused you to lose control, the lawyers would be lined up to sue Ford. I would definitely chose lights for safety!!

In the 1960's, I don't know how hell my dad towed our Shasta travel trailer, all over the United States for family vacations. With me, my mom, my sister and a couple of dogs. From the Midwest to the Grand Canyon, Colorado to Yellowstone, Glacier, Smoky Mountains. Plus weekend fishing trips using 1960s station wagons and a 75 lb car top fishing boat to boot.
All of it done without Lane centering.
The only thing I remember extra. Was the car's had load leveling hitches. They would occasionally scrape the ground when going up a driveway.
It's safe to say he wasn't a donut delivery driver.

I don't have any pictures of our actual trailer. The one above looks like ours except, the yellow portion of ours was light blue maybe aqua.

uh, BlueCruise IS a subscription. to be clear, it is not offered / supported on any year or any trim of Maverick. you can get it on a Ranger, though.
