Forum members, how are you? Can someone help me? I have the Diode Dynamics fog lights already installed, using the original installation pattern and the simple on/off switch that comes with the kit. I want to install the OEM F-150 switch with the connection via BCM. So what do I need to do from the installation I already have of the DD with just the inclusion of the F-150 Switch and keep the backlight? Can someone draw a diagram for me? I'm not very knowledgeable about electrical parts. lol... Thanks and hugs
I think that’s covered in pages 1-3 of this thread.

I could be very wrong, I read all 27 pages of this topic twice. However, I didn't find something specific and identical to what I need! Thanks for trying and I'll keep fighting. lol
Sorry bud, I might be mixing up my threads but I seen somewhere that Vtech87pr1 wired or put up a diagram of what you are needing.
Pretty much your remote wire to send power to the DD kit is supposed to be going to the BCM.
Not at my pc so can’t search it for you. But it is in here.
Sorry good luck you are like 90% done

VTEC: I was hoping you can help with helping me tap BCM terminals 42 and 47. How to do it. I see the part number in your write up. From there how do I get through the firewall. I'm putting LTZ Lux package power/heated drivers seat and a heated passengers seat from a 23' LTX into a 25' LTX. I can't use the cluster control panel because they were moved to display in '25.

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/swap-power-seat-into-manual-truck.26522/

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/heated-seat-install.25964/

I'm willing to do this mod for the passengers seat, because all I has to do is power the heater. THe drivers side power is a 30 amp. and is more involved? See schematic in the seat swap post.

Alrighty, I’ve gone through all 28 pages of this thread over the course of 4 hours trying to make sure I do everything correctly as I have little to no wiring experience. But honestly I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the info.

I already had the DD Elite fogs fully installed with their provided harness and switch on my hybrid Maverick. I purchased the F150 switch and want to add that next. I understand I now need to add the Ford terminal WT-1003 to pin 6 of the BCM and run that to the white? wire of my DD switch.

So my questions are:

What do I do with the provided DD switch and the other 2 wires connected to it? Do I just tuck them out of the way?

The WT-1003 wire has to reach from the passenger side footwell where the BCM plug is to the drivers side footwell where I ran the original DD switch (through the firewall grommet) as stated in their installation instructions, but it looks too short. Do I just get another wire and tap into that connector to make it long enough to reach over? And then, how exactly would I route that wire over to hide it?

Sorry if these questions are stupid. I’m a noob to this kinda stuff and I’m surprised I managed to install these fogs in the first place. Thanks

I don't have it in front of me, but I believe the switch has two white wires, which are power in and power out, and then a ground wire so the light on the switch works. The power in wire should go from a tap-in connector on the headlight harness to the switch. You eliminate that wire entirely (and seal up the headlight wire). The ground wire (probably the one in the middle of the switch, you eliminate entirely. The power out wire that goes from the switch to the DD relay is what you want to connect to the BCM. And then just eliminate the switch.

Honestly, if you're not sure about wiring this might be a little too advanced. It's not hard, but you will have to splice wires a couple times as well as open up the BCM connector and install the terminal.

I'm unable to help you much on the questions you asked, but I did want to assure you that your questions are not stupid and the main reason for the MTC is help other members with all the different modifications and issues with this unique truck. So, ask away.

Hi guys and girls hope your doing ok. I wanted to announced that next year on Ford Nationals I will be donating one cheap f150 fog light switch mod jumper cable for the bcm and one expensive full fog lights wire harness with Diode dynamics for year 2022 to 2024. Ford Mavericks i believe I can make for the 2025 models but for now im just going to wait to see what happens.

Using the ford switch I eliminated the DD switch altogether.

I ran two wires the same length all the way past the right fog to the left fog. I ran them individually as there was an option for cornering with Forscan if run separately

Because I liked the backlighting I cut the wire to the right fog and used the remaining length to run the backlight to the left fog.

I attached to the terminal wires to the end of both wires and into the BCM.

All wiring at the fogs was done using the waterproof connectors.

I initially used Antonio’s set up with the white wire but switched to individual wiring for the cornering feature.

There may be a step I’ve forgotten in there but basically that was it.

Now I’m just waiting for DD to make them for my 2025 Maverick.

The Ford fog switches skyrocketed in price since I bought mine.

I blame Antonio for making it a sought after item. šŸ˜‚

You serious about the fog light switches? I remember when I bought mine, I was shocked how cheap it was. I think that it was less than $30. It was cheaper than doing one side of the foam fender insulation pieces that were apparently randomly installed during production. Cheaper than the hitch hole cover.

I still haven’t done the fog light install yet, even though I have all the parts. Decided to work on the stereo first instead.

Totally agree everything is all Antonio’s fault. šŸ˜€

Yeah. I paid the same. Now they want upwards of $80.
