I purchased and just took delivery of my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid and for those who are confused with all the miss information this vehicle is definitely flat towable four wheels down in “neutral tow” mode. The issue is that with Ford’s redesign and the lowering of the adaptive cruise control radar in the front there are no base plates available from the major manufacturers (BlueOx, RoadMaster and Demco) I’ve talked to all three and they are struggling to get the new design engineeried and to the market which is very disappointing to the RV community. Anyone have any new information or update other than what I stated.

Last I heard, Demco was still waiting for a volunteer. If Blue Ox reverts back to its 2-piece baseplate (that had so many failures), it will likely be the first to market. If Blue Ox does come out first with a 2-piece baseplate and you can't wait for someone to get a good design, be sure to get a towbar with an external crossbar to eliminate the sideways stress that caused the previous Blue Ox failures.
I'd be prepared for a substantial wait time for a good, well-tested 2025 Lariat baseplate. It took until September of 2023 for Demco to finally get a baseplate out for 2022-2023s that didn't fail or require destruction of the lower active-shutter system..

Thank you I totally agree with your reply I think I am leaning towards a Demco baseplate being it will likely be a clean installation without notching my facial with a RoadMaster Nighthawk tow bar but won’t make a decision until all the information and lead times are available

Sad that Ford changed the front in such a meaningless way...and caused this strife. and delay.

I love my 2023 Lariat Hybrid (with Demco) but was seriously considering a 2025 Lariat AWD to replace it.

I take solace that I had to wait a long time for my 2023, but in waiting, I got a special combination that is rare:
I got NAV (missing from the 2022s); Alto Blue (missing from 2024s), heated windshield (missing from 2024s), a door keypad (missing from the 2024s), and was able to get BAP (missing from 2022s). But, damn. I wanted AWD too!

Well it sounds like you got a great setup after having to wait for delivery - this is my first Maverick, flat towing four wheels down was the deciding factor along with the AWD I have less than 200 miles on it and absolutely love it - just hoping they get these base-plates figured out…

Following this. Just ordered our 2025 Hybrid Lariat. Didn't like how they chopped the front to install our BlueOx. Hopefully the 2025 will look better.

As anxious as I am to get a baseplate setup I am willing to wait to see which manufacturer engineers the cleanest and least destructive baseplate installation I’ve had baseplates installed on other vehicles that required cutting and notching I hope I don’t need to do this to my 2025 Maverick AWD Hybrid

I applied to be the test dummy today and will start a new post if selected...
They appear to be about 3 hours from you, you planning on dropping it off and going back home, or getting a hotel room nearby for the week or so?

Neighbor will drop me off in Vancouver and I will come back with the RV when it's close to being done. That's if I hear from them.

Yes, we can't wait for it to come out. We ordered our 2025 Lariat last Sept and received it mid-January 2025. We purchased it for our tow behind. We are anxious to get our Maverick hooked up to flat tow.
