Not trying to depress you but my vehicle was priority 2 around July 12th. I still don't have a VIN.

How do you track changes in your priority number? I thought there was no tracking capability without a VIN.

Same. How do we find this priority number?
Original Priority number assigned by dealer, either a 19 or a 10. 10’s get done faster than a 19 from the same dealership. But if Ford doesn’t have every single item on your builds, nothing get built. I ordered soup to nuts so I’m afraid I’ll be waiting for a while for my Ecoboost AWD. You can, by the way change items through your dealer up to the point Ford plants schedules the build. Good luck, sleep tight and don’t let the chevy’s bite!

It should be located somewhere on your DORA or sales agreement Mine looked like this. This was my first DORA though so my priority code is 19. It was later moved down to 10.

That is correct. You cannot track your order until you receive a VIN. The only way to know about priority changes is if you ask your dealer or perhaps try the Ford customer service number.

All right.........where are the production orders for the week of 11/15.........where is the list? All I see is a statement that says production for 11/15.

I received an email telling me my build was scheduled for the week of 01/03/2022 a few weeks ago, after it being pushed back from 12/20/2021 in an email I received the night before. It included a VIN. I feel like all the emails for this build period may have already gone out?

XLT FX4 AWD 2.0 ordered 10/02/21

Emails usually go out on Thursday so it will probably be the 18th before people start receiving build emails. There was a funky day a few weeks back when it was a cleanup week and emails went out on a Friday but for the most part it has been Thursdays.

Just got notice that my build will be pushed back for the 3rd time since I ordered. Nov 5th to the 15th now Dec 6th. My build is an XLT-FX4 with spray in liner, ECo Boost. When I originally ordered it was ordered with a drop in liner but the dealer said the liner is on back order! so we went with the spray in to expedite. hmmmmm

I could not disagree more.

Ford said it goes on sale this Fall. Did they lie? Have my eyes deceived me when I watched a guy pick his up from the dealer? I understand that the base model is delayed but the car is on sale.

Part of my frustration is that day one adopters and pre-orderers are freaking out that they don't have their car already but it kind of feels like I've seen this exact scenario play out in 6 different industries over the last year but we all pretend to be surprised? Adjust thy expectations!

I'm not saying it is justified or we should lick the boot of Ford but at some point you've got to think about what you're doing before you do it.

Now, if you feel you've been wronged then cancel your order and buy a car someplace else (have fun spending 10k more and good luck!) or sue! If you just wallow around a forum complaining about how Ford is abusing its customers then you're not a lot different than people that complain but don't vote.

I'm not saying its a good thing that Ford can change your build date around without compensation I'm simply saying that's the world we live in now. I'm not even convinced it is Ford's "fault" exactly, I need more information to assess that but, as someone who works in a giant company can attest, marketing vs sales vs engineering vs production are so separated that it really can be pretty hard to blame any one group or person in particular. Designing, tooling, and rolling out a car is one of the most complicated things imaginable and Ford probably jumped the gun a bit.

Caveat: I'd be mad too if I put money down in June and I saw someone else get a delivery in October.
