I like the grille on the '25 but this portion on each side of it still looks weird to me.

See? That photo illustrates my point. In that photo it looks bad. But in real life you never see it like that. You’re standing above it, and you see how the line from the hood extends down and continues with the line of the “flap”. Plus from above it looks proportionally smaller.

Had my first '25 sighting a few days ago, Eruption Green parked on a lot with front end facing me. Nice color, but the new grill still had me reaching for the eye bleach...

Once I've seen enough of them I'm hopeful my brain will start "editing out" the grill (like it did for the awful "predator face" Lexus grills).
I don't have one, but I always thought of the Lexus grill looked like an hourglass. I think that is appropriate, imagining watching the sand drop from the top to the bottom hoping that when the time runs out they'll hire a designer to redesign the ugly front end. I wonder if the Lexus hourglass designers got hired by Ford to make the ugly 2025 Maverick front end?

Good lord, how many more pages are we going to have about how you don't like the new front end. Fine, have an opinion, no one is forcing you to buy a '25. I'll enjoy my new '25 with a better interior color combination, 360 cameras, 13.2" screen, hybrid AWD, Space White Metallic paint and AGM battery. You enjoy your better looking front end and cubby. 😁
I've had my '25 for about two weeks now and I can say it's an improvement over my '24, '23, and '22 Mavericks. Yes, I'm on my fourth so I know what I speak. Of course just as I say that it will leave me stranded somewhere 🙄

I'd probably get one if I could make the front end on the '25 look more like this -
Nice job! Consider dropping a resume off at Ford Design....

Before the 2025 models arrived at dealers and people starting buying them, I noticed a LOT of hate for the front end re-design. Myself included. I was not a fan. In fact I was eager to get the previous design since that was the original Maverick that I fell in love with. This new front-end, at least on Ford’s website, looked AWFUL and my heart sunk.

…until I saw it in person. Then my opinion completely changed. I cannot exactly express why it looks so much better in person. But I think it’s partly due to the fact that all the camera angles were taken as if you were looking at it from 2 feet off the ground. The new bottom lip looked huge. And you focused on that more than you did the horn-shape of the lights. But when you see it in person, generally you’re looking at it from a higher vantage point, and you can see the 3D shape of it, rather than just a “slab” that is covering up the old lights.

I’m at the point now where I actually PREFER it over the original design. I love the horn-shaped lights. Anyone feel the same? Have you noticed a decrease in the hate for the front-end?
I was like it is cool I’m gonna order lobo than I thought no not liking it. Looks like a Kia or Hyundai now in my opinion.

Still not a fan, but in today's America I have other hills to defend.

I’ve seen 25s in darker colors where the ski jumps aren’t as obvious
