Ordered via Dealer -- They seem clueless

In the final week of October I placed an order for my Maverick XLT with Lux, 4K tow & Fx4. Since placing the order I have received no communication about build dates and no email updates. Upon inquiring about any type of communication from Ford (referencing what I've seen on here about update emails, etc) they seemed entirely clueless.

Anyone else having a similar experience?

Yes, many have reported the same here on this forum. I would just call Ford and verify your order. You will need the order number from your paperwork. (800) 334-4375

Unfortunately, I never received an order number. The only paperwork I received was an order summary with the build details & price which I signed at the dealership along with making my deposit. I see a "sales code" on the document, is that potentially the order number?

Seem's ive got to give them a call tomorrow morning. Thank you!

I did not I am sadge

Gonna be calling my dealership tomorrow morning for sure just to make sure everything is moving along properly. Dont want to add any delay to the order aside from the production time....

This makes me glad I got a good one got the email 5 minutes after they ordered, code 10, only thing I thought was funny was see I ordered 11/1 and he was like “You should get Ford Maverick hybrid February”
I be like “Ummm your sure about that?”
They be like “oh ya ya”

I really wish that I were surprised by this...

Though honestly I appreciate the reinforcement of my hunch. It'll be much easier to push when I speak with them tomorrow. Unfortunately this market has dealers quite complacent about making deals since they can take for granted their advantageous position.

I ordered Oct 28 and honestly I'll be happy to get my truck before February, lol

Personally I really really really doubt it will be February, But I admire his tenacity lol April/May seems more realistic, but ya if he turns out right I will be shocked lol

You should have a form like this, called a DORA (dealer order receipt acknowledgment). This is mine that I got the day I ordered. The order number is on there. Your dealer should provide you with a copy of this form. Most sales people don't know what this is. Most dealers have 1 person that does the ordering.

While you're talking with them ask them to give your order the highest priority code they can. these are from 10 to 19, 10 is highest priority.

It's not as big a deal as it sounds. It's the priority at your dealership compared with other Maverick orders they have. But some other order could still be selected for production over yours depending on if the options selected match up with what the factory has on hand to build that week.

I asked my dealer to give be a higher priority after learning about it here on this forum back in June. They gave me a priority 10 because I was their first Maverick order.

Scheduled for production emails normally go out on Thursdays, but it may or may not be every Thursday. You'll see plenty of discussion about it here on the forum if it's a scheduling week.
