I am overflowing with jealousy at the competence of your dealership experience!

I ordered Oct 28 and honestly I'll be happy to get my truck before February, lol
I ordered the same day as you and had my build sheet and email order confirmation from ford about 10 minutes later. It will be interesting to see what happens

Obligatory "it's definitely possible you missed the email or it got filtered by your provider"

but as others have said hopefully when you get your order number from the Dealer it'll all be cleared up. I gotta call today and add the rear inverter as it was not optioned on my build I just noticed. Need to get the manager signed copy of my order while I'm at it.

In the final week of October I placed an order for my Maverick XLT with Lux, 4K tow & Fx4. Since placing the order I have received no communication about build dates and no email updates. Upon inquiring about any type of communication from Ford (referencing what I've seen on here about update emails, etc) they seemed entirely clueless.

Anyone else having a similar experience?
I had this exact same experience with my dealer. On top of it all the dealer I originally ordered with was bought out a couple months ago, causing me even more worry that my order may not have been done the right way. Through communication with my dealer I've found out the reason they are clueless about it is because they have an "off-site order specialist" that handles all of their custom orders, meaning to learn anything about my order I have to contact the dealership, who then contacts their order specialist, and then gets back to me. It's been a pain in the butt and if I had known ahead of time what I was doing I would have gone with a different dealership. However, maybe this will give you some relief, I received a call that my Maverick had been built and was being shipped, and it should be here sometime in the next two weeks!

Thanks for the phone number. It's not really the dealers fault - I called and after waiting in que for 30 minutes, the nice person on the line had no further info on when my order would turn into a VIN. I am definitely in the system though. I left my deposit in late July so maybe in the spring after the snow melts I will get my new truck!

I can sympathize with YoungMaverick, I ordered In early August and have received absolutely nothing from Ford. I contacted Frod with my order number and gave them all of my information (again) and fully expected to receive a confirmation from them as they said they would send within 3 business days, still nothing...and that as about 1 and a half months ago. Called my dealer and he asked for my email and address (again) still nothing.... that was over two weeks ago. I'm about ready to cancel the whole thing, this is extremely frustrating and if this is how they handle business then perhaps I don't want to do business with them. How long am I supposed to remain patient when I get NO communication from them at all?

The salesperson I worked with is actually the inventory manager of the dealership where I placed my order. It also helps that he personally has a Maverick hybrid on order. May I suggest seeking out someone with a similar title, someone with a bit more specialized expertise in this area? It seems like it might just come down to finding the one person who understands what's going on.

This gives me a little solace. I just visited my dealership and my sales guy had absolutely NO CLUE about the order confirmation email I should have received. I spent 20 minutes trying to convince him to ask questions on my behalf until a colleague of his walked up and said "did you get your confirmation email"? to which I replied "no" and he insisted he would check with their manager once she came in tomorrow and I should get the email shortly thereafter.

May I ask when you placed the order for your Maverick? All of the guys at my dealership are using scare tactics and saying it wouldn't be surprising if the truck took 8 months to arrive, which sounds absurd based upon delivery times i've seen here.

I was just at my dealership and frankly, i think you hit the nail on the head. My sales person was not even familiar with the order confirmation email and insisted it was something out of the dealerships control and that I would likely have to wait two months just to receive this confirmation, which seems based on this forum to be entirely incorrect.

Dude, I am so very sorry to hear this and quite frankly it sounds not dissimilar from my current experience. I just visited my dealership and spent 20 minutes speaking with my salesperson while he insisted that the "confirmation email" was not within his control and he would not even ask around about it...bizzare. a colleague of his then approached and asked "did you get your confirmation email?" and when i said no, he said I should have gotten it and HE would follow up for me.

Honestly, Im considering placing another order with a separate dealership because I am not confident my order has even reached the order books. This is incredibly frustrating when im TRYING to spend 30k

Unfortunately, I never received an order number. The only paperwork I received was an order summary with the build details & price which I signed at the dealership along with making my deposit. I see a "sales code" on the document, is that potentially the order number?

Seem's ive got to give them a call tomorrow morning. Thank you!
Don’t know if you ever got an answer, but yes sort of. At least you can use it to ask ford on the phone or chat. You’ll need both sales code and order code. They may ask you the name of the dealership.l to find it.
My dealership is not very informed, plus they had put in a random email so I never got a confirmation. That’s what I used to ask ford if my order was in correctly.

Any updates about your order via the order confirmation site? Like a build date scheduled or anything?

My dealer has been able to answer questions when I ask them, but I've never received an email from Ford even though they tell me they have my email address. I've also not been notified when my build date has been pushed back, now six weeks later than my original build date. We're operating off one car because I sold mine to cash in on desperate dealer paying way more than it was worth. I only did that, though, because my dealer told me my build date was XX and I would have my car no later than YY and it's going to easily be 2-3 months later than that. I know it's not the dealer's fault or really Ford's - though there's a lot in this process they could have done better - but I don't think I can wait until April or later. This car isn't worth that. If I still want one down the line I'll pick up a '23 or '24. Strong chance I cancel my order and go with something else.

I ordered mine in Mid-July. I'm still a bit skeptical that they may not have officially submitted the order until the dealership switched owners in early September, but that may just be my tinfoil hat talking.

I called the number that a commenter in this thread recommended for checking on my order and they were able to confirm it had been placed. Still no order confirmation email, but Ford does have my order despite dealerships confusion. Maybe give that a try?
