Stop shopping based on monthly payment. I can get you in a 2022 Ford raptor for 600 a month. Don't ask me how long the loan term is though. You need to base your decisions on total cost.
My advice remains to sell that hybrid xl for as much as you can possibly recoup. I'm assuming the dealer...
So you defini
I'm dead serious you need to flip that thing to carvana or vroom asap. I just looked there are several xl hybrids selling for 40k on carvana "sale in progress" maybe, just maybe, they will give you 33 to 36k and you can get out from that loan
My advice to you is to sell that xl hybrid as soon as possible to avoid being underwater on that vehicle. You paid 38k plus tax for a 20k vehicle. The value currently is inflated since Ford can't produce enough, so you could probably get a pretty penny back from carvana or vroom, or third party...
Agreed, heard good things about that turtle wax spray too. Gotta remember this is the Ford Maverick we are talking about detailing... The cheapest car currently for sale in America lol. Not some grandpa's AMG
IMO all those $$$$ ceramic coatings aren't worth it. I got the meguiers ceramic wax (flourescent green bottle) and it's extreme easy to put on and off. Going on 4 months and it's still beading water like day 1. I think the bottle was $15.
Don't get suckered into having it professionally done...
Certainly the vehicle when repaired isn't worth MSRP anymore. Without having a firsthand look at the damage to the structural parts of the vehicle, I'm uncertain so to whether I'd take delivery of the vehicle. Again if I did, certainly not for MSRP. Also I'd probably make the dealer handle the...
Premium is recommended for towing. 87 is fine for everyday driving Ecoboost or hybrid.
Also just for context, I normally put 87 octane 10% ethanol into my Ecoboost and I'm 2500 miles in averaging anywhere from 28 to 30mpg depending on my driving habits and traffic. I'd say I drive much more...
Absolutely agree, which is why the manual recommends higher octane fuel only when towing. This is where you may get the engine hotter than normal everyday driving and therefore the knock sensor/ecu will have to adjust timing to accommodate.
Normal driving will see no mpg difference between...
You will get exactly 0% mpg increase by using higher octane fuel in your maverick. Octane in simple terms is the fuels resistance to detonation. 87 octane has the same energy density per gallon as 91 octane.
You will however get better fuel economy if you found ethanol free gasoline, as E10...
Go get yours
I mean look at it this way. If some moron is willing to pay 10k over asking for a maverick, they are going to find one. The question is who will be getting the extra 10k, you or a dealer
Well when you buy the lasfit bulbs that are plug and play, you don't need to know how to put resisters into any vehicle lol. I'm now 100% LEDs and no resisters needed, no hyperflash
Ford priced the maverick at exactly what it's worth. It's a cheap vehicle made with cheap materials and very little options (when comparing to say an f150). I understand people can do with their money as they please, but these markups are absolutely ridiculous and I'm not sure why you wouldnt...
If this is indeed the pedestrian warning sound I would be careful deactivating it. Opens yourself up to more lawsuits of you ever had an accident. I'm not a fan of the noise either but it is what it is
Assuming 37mpg to start, you would not lose 10mpg just from a small lift. Maybe 1 to 2 mpg. Throw some big tires on too and probably looking at a 5 to 6 mpg loss max
First of all, holy crap your car is filthy. And second of all, the sound is the the federally mandated noise electric vehicles must produce to notify pedestrians of hybrid or electric vehicles
