Tip from the frozen north. To knock off a Snow Turd (ice build up in wheel well) use your heel, not your toe!!

That's some nasty stuff. I have property in Western, NC and wanted to go do some cold weather camping this weekend but this weeks weather kiboshed that idea.

No halogen is going to stop that build up from occurring when driving at speed for hours on end.

Yup, unlike the old incandescent and halogen bulbs, the LED headlights do not generate enough heat to melt off the ice. Its a disadvantage of the more efficient bulbs. I find that I have to keep stopping every hour or so to uncover my headlights again and again. Its too bad that Ford elected to make the 25 refresh frontends look stupid instead of doing some airflow work to keep them cleared in northern weather.

Uhuh. If you look at the Escape close sibling for example, the ice does not accumulate over the headlights.

I had a Model 3 Long Range - one of the slipperiest aero cars there is - and ice still accumulated on the front headlights.....

ice buildup on vehicles with led headlights compared to xenon or halogen is a known thing.

bronco people complained A LOT about it the first 2 winters. a heating element seems like a simple solution.

Pimples? Yeah, we "Yankees" sometimes forget about how substantial the turds are that you southern boys drop. Everything's bigger in Texas, right?

Well, then I guess us Canadians are going to do a lot of walking six months of the year.
Or I'll just continue to drive, in snow, as I always have done for the last (73-16=57) 57 years.
Seriously guys, snow is no big deal, hell I raced on ice for 25 years. Both with and without studs. Yes, it can be done.
