picked up my lariat yesterday. other than the typical "new car smell" there was no other odor going on. even the NCS wasn't very strong, driving with just the rear window open and the breeze going through i couldn't even smell it.

if you have something strong still going on i wonder if there's either something wrong with your vehicle, something spilled in there, or something died in there.

edit: the "new car smell" didn't even last the weekend. no odor in the vehicle at all now, unless i drive past a cow pasture.

My search for info on deodorizing the ActiveX (pleather) seat material was unsuccessful, so I apologize if this has already been answered. To me it smells like the material was stored in a cattle barn (before you ask, yes cow poop and not other animal's poop... it has a unique "fragrance").

I'm hoping to find a way to deodorize it. Any confirmed solutions will be much appreciated. I am one of the lucky MTC members with an excellent dealer, so I may see what they think about an ozone treatment.
Hang a pine tree scented thing from your rear view mirror.

Have you checked if your carpets are wet? The smell could be mold caused by a water leak inside the cabin, as happened to a few members here (do a search, there are some horror stories)

PS when we were young, a guy played a practical joke on his buddy by hiding a trout under the seat of the used car he'd just bought, during summer. It took weeks before he found it, it was gross 🤢 ... have you checked for fish under your seats? 😂

I only wipe my seats with a microfiber cloth and very hot water. That has seemed to soften it up a tad and again I am not getting that smell.
I've done the same on leather seats but adding 1-2 drops of scented laundry detergent to the bucket of water. Cleans a bit better and leaves a nice smell
