If it was your daily

would you get it again? I’m trying to figure out if it’s like double the bass of the stock one
kicker hideway 8" is way more potent than the B&O 6x9 in MY22-24. I haven't heard MY25 yet but I'm not expecting any improvement in the sub.

I would do a kicker hideway HS10 though. it's a bit more but it fits behind the backrest no problem, many have done it, and it's noticeably better than the 8 at lower frequencies and overall spl.

Question, I don’t love center channels, mustang I disconnected it from harness, and I felt that on stereo mode sounded way better

can I simply unclip the center speaker in this too? May do a test to see how I feel about that

Won’t fit behind the 25 backrest, the whole wall is loaded with gadgets and boxes in lariat unfortunately

surround is trash in both my Maverick and my Bronco which both have B&O (and the latter is sync4).

it emphasizes the center channel which I despise, and it sounds like it flips the rear channels to create 'ambience' so you have this weird diagonal soundstage as the midrange and treble from the left channel comes from center, LF and RR.

stereo mode for sure.
I'd love to figure out a way to get rid of the center channel or calm it a bit. I have the 2025 B&O and it is just a werid sound. I feel as though it is sometimes "echoy".

Will be trying it in this.

I think it's worth trying in a MY25 to see what happens because sync4 is controlling the center instead of sync3.

however, on a 22-24 B&O with sync3, you can't delete the center without also replacing the B&O amp. it sounds real strange with it simply disconnected.

you can tame it, though. it's worth reading this whole thing for @Darnon observation and changes, and then what I did (Kenwood coaxial with a 50w 4ohm resistor). https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/b-o-center-channel-speaker.27348/

Well that makes sense one thing I did when I deleted it was change acm to line out flat signal. Because when I did it the whole system was awesome but that center speaker was screaming loud.

not sure what that does on B&O trucks, but I would be cautious because they do have electronic crossovers, not passive, and if your rears start playing full range they're going to have a short miserable life.

I'm not saying don't try it. I am saying proceed cautiously. :)

They don’t have inline filters? I thought all small speakers had them pretty much.

You know I was kind of thinking the same thing. I almost immediately wanted to upgrade my 23 B&O system. I got my new 25 a week ago and have been thinking this doesn't sound as bad as I remember the 23 sounding. I also don't get the significant loss in volume on my Samsung phone when playing through Bluetooth or Android Auto that I get with the 23. Sadly, the door panels buzz more in the 25 then my 23 did. I will definitely be sound deadening them at some point. Maybe this weekend I will take an RTA measurement of the stock 25 B&O system.
Ok, so I was going to start a post similar to this. I have no real reference point to jump off of since my 2025 XLT is the only Maverick I have owned (I did test drive two 2024's). But judging from this forum and others, the XL and XLT speakers/sound system royally sucked. I was really pleasantly surprised when I took delivery that doesn't seem to be the case with 2025's. Doesn't seem bad at all, especially with no subwoofer.

Im wishful, im just going to get it, and enjoy it. disable chimes, and toss a 10 inch woofer under rear seat like this. a guy posted this on fb awhile back. thats exactly where il put it. and if I ever need more space for something, its a quick connect on it. pop it out, and just recap stock subwoofer clips back on. boom. still got bass
I'm going to as well, but I think we might have to also change Forscan to flat eq. I read another thread that the vocals seem to suffer.

I had a 2023 Lariat Tremor and was extremely disappointed in the B&O system, and added a small sub and amp, which helped tremendously. Couldn't even imagine how bad the "base" system sounded like.

I now have a 2025 Tremor, and already had an appointment to add the same amp and sub, but I think I'm going to cancel it now and save the money because the new system sounds A LOT better to me. Still could be a little louder, but it's not worth it to me to mess with the wiring and storage space now, I feel.

Anyone else notice this, or am I trippin' ?
I have a 24 Lariat and I think the B&O system sounds great. It’s on par with the Tesla designed sound system in my Tesla model S. It’s also on par with the Bose system I had in a Porsche 911. And it’s on par with the meridian sound system I had in a Range Rover. And I would say it sounds better than the B&O system I had in an Audi R8, but that may be due to the technology being 10 years newer in the Maverick.

When I was in my 20’s and 30’s, all my cars had custom systems with multiple amps, large capacitors and 10’s, 12’s or 15’s, depending on space constraints. However, in my late 30’s, I started developing tinnitus and high frequency hearing loss from too many hours of high SPL, so I decided from that point on, to only use stock stereo systems and to never upgrade them again.

For the last 15 years, I have been listening only to the top trim of stock stereos from each manufacturer. And the B&O system in the Maverick sounds a good as any Porsche, Audi or Range Rover.

So yes, whenever I hear someone say that the B&O system in the lariat sounds bad, I do think they’re trippin.

i dont know about all that. If so, you had some really shitty systems for such nice cars. My 2023 Jeep compass blows the old Maverick's B&O system out of the water. My Corvette is not even close. The GR Corolla "Premium" is worse, but that literally has to be the worst system in any new car built since the 1980s. My Wrangler's is worse, but i have a base model, so that's expected.

I don't even know how you can make that statement honestly (and there's like 30 replies in here that seem to agree with me), unless you are just trying to humble brag about your cool cars.

Nope. I was just comparing the B&O to the premium rides I’ve had. Along the way, I’ve also had a Silverado HD2500 that had a “meh” stereo, a JK Wrangler with an “ok” top spec stereo, a 3LT trimmed C6 corvette with an “ok” stereo, a Nissan 370z with a “pretty good” Bose stereo and 2 Priuses with god awful, horrible stereos.

From the vantage point that I have, the B&O stereo in the Maverick is as good as the B&O and Bose systems in other cars from premium brands, which means that for being an economy car/truck, the Maverick is actually a standout. Is it as nice as a Burmeister in a S class? Nope. But for the price point, it is really good.
