I just picked up my 2025 Ecoboost black XL today. I started buying a Maverick first year they came out in 2022 for my oldest son as all 4 of my boys buy had to buy their own junker for high school. I surprised my oldest with a 2022 Maverick then I bought a 2023 Maverick for the next boy and today I got the 2025 Maverick for #3. So far so good on quality of the Mavericks and reliability for them off to college. One more to go for the youngest when he is 18 in 2027. They are cost effective and I buy just the XLs and tell them they should be able to drive them for at least 10-12 years. Regardless, they will be the first and last vehicles I buy them. The worst part is paying full coverage for an 21,20, and 18 year old compared to just liability on their 2000$ junkers. Ironically, I still drive my 2002 Lariat F150 that I bought new 23 years ago. It has 250,000 miles and is still the best truck I have ever owned so why get rid of it? When all 4 of my boys have a Maverick in 2 years, I am going to take a picture of all 4 of them lined up.
