Someone was pondering why Ford changed the lights for the MY2025 and wondered if it was due to the new ones being brighter or maybe higher. Below is a picture of my 2022 lights and my 2025 lights side by side. I tried to park in the exact same place and take the picture from the exact same angle. Obviously I took the '22 picture in landscape mode and the '25 in portrait. But I did make sure the back tire just BARELY touched the edge of the grass for both trucks.

Any difference? A tripod would have been helpful, but it does look as though the '25 Maverick's lights shine a little higher. You can see the edge of the bright light is a couple inches higher on the middle panel. I suppose that could be an anomaly, but it may be that Ford wanted them shining a little further. Anyone else tried this?

Personally I would think the 25s to be a little better output seeing the headlights actually sit a little higher compared to the 22s and 25s.

Whether or not they're brighter would depend on if they used a higher output LED chip. I don't know nor can I say as I haven't seen any internals of the 25s headlights

I believe digital cameras, in a phone or independent camera, try to auto expose to an average (18%?) gray magnitude. This would make it difficult to compare two separate pictures. The camera would seek to achieve the same gray scale regardless the absolute illumination.
Might be able to infer that the image with darker gray outside where the light hits the wall, has brighter light levels where the light hits the walls... to get to the same average exposure... but nothing absolute.

I’ll be honest I’m a bit disappointed with the 25 Lariat. Not that it is bad but it is not an improvement over my 23 Tremor. If I had to give one the nod I would likely say the 23 Tremor was better.

My 24 Civic EX had better lights than both of them. All three work well with their auto hi-beams

You need to change your photo 710-oil-614 or do you miss the Tremor that much? 😁 I'm having mixed emotions about giving up my Tremor when my '25 Lariat hybrid AWD finally appears.

I do miss the Tremor! But this was still the right choice for me and I’ve got no regrets and enjoy the Lariat AWD hybrid very much.

Any difference in height could well just be a difference in how the angle (adjustment screw in '22 at least) was set in the factory.

The Lariat has projector-style LEDs. The lower trims use a reflector style.

I'm glad to hear that, makes me feel better. I have a Bronco and really the Tremor is redundant and the Bronco would do anything the Tremor can off road but better. I see the hybrid Mav as being a compliment since it's will get about 3 times the MPG of the Bronco and a better around town vehicle.

This is what I was thinking. I wasn't saying the 2025's lights were brighter (if that's what anyone thought), but rather that they brightest level of the 2025's lights are an inch or 2 higher on my garage door.

Was the main reason for switching for the Hybrid? Was just curious why you didn't go for another Tremor.

As I said in my last comment, I wasn't wondering whether the 2025's lights were brighter but rather that the brightest part of the light is a couple of inches higher on my garage door. That would be consistent with FCNRWY's picture of the 2 Mavericks side by side.
