The Digital Owners Manual is updated with the correct information (as told to me by Ford, I have not confirmed this myself). The printed (PDF) has not been updated yet. I think it is waiting on approval.

When the digital owner's guide gets updated for something like this, what is the mechanism for the guide loaded into the truck get updated? Is it done automatically via WiFi update, or does it need to be done at a dealer?

True, 24,000 Lbs of RV & Toad Stuff happens real fast and your not going to evade or stop like a rice burner with brembo's. I find the sweet spot with my Class A Motorhome is 68 MPH both Towing and Solo. I'm in no hurry.

I can't believe they produced a document that robust and yet in the flat tow section they still have that stupid BS about starting your vehicle every 6 hours or fewer.

instead, it would be very helpful to warn owners not to let the Ford vehicle being flat towed to have a low or dead 12V battery because drivetrain damage can result.

and then suggest a RV connected charging system as the primary remedy and starting the vehicle frequently as an alternative.

Lol. I was waiting for the 2025 Maverick Owner's Manual to be released on the Ford website to see if the AWD Hybrid would be flat towable before making a decision between the 2025 AWD Hybrid or a 2024 FWD Hybrid since flat towing was the main reason for me pursuing a Maverick vs a Ranger (my motorhome is rated to tow 5,000lbs and I wanted enough room on the tow vehicle weight to add a rack, paddle boards, bikes etc). When the 2025 manual came out and I saw no flat towing, I pulled the trigger on my 2024 Lariat FWD Hybrid. Love the truck, no regrets until now. Should have waited an extra month and could have bought the 2025! O well, such is life. AWD is not a huge factor, I actually like how FWD with good winter tires handles the winter driving but would have been nice to have some of the other upgrades.

I’ve never been stuck in any snow, Alaska, or Ohio. With any fwd vehicle, and of course awd too.
Hell I didn’t alright with a 1996 s1500 truck lol. I was slipping sliding everywhere but I learned how to winter drive very well with it in Alaska.
I paid 500 for it and it was ass, but it did the job. I remember the tailgate fell off in a parking lot, lol. It was hit like 5 times by random people doing donuts in parking lots. Didn’t drive straight at all, I gave it away to a guy in army when I got out.

Wow if you go to the trouble and expense of installing the aftermarket towing system for your mavericks, you would think that installing one additional wire to insure that the battery remains charged would be a good idea checkout Demco for more information on the charging system.

I don't flat tow my Bronco, but I've seen a number of posts on Bronco forums where vehicles exited flat tow mode due to low 12V battery, or another reason, and then it proceeds to destroy the transmission.

Similar things can happen with braking. Make sure you have a solution to monitor brake use in the Maverick (or whatever you're towing). Not sure if that's mentioned in the Ford towing guide either, but those 2 things are not uncommon.
