Well my window visors/deflectors whatever you call them are getting replaced with the AVS exterior adhesive ones.

The drivers side no matter what I did would always interfere with the auto up function. I tried applying the same thickness adhesive as the rear ones come with in the hopes it would stick to the channel better but that didn't work. In my 2nd attempt at repair I was going to sand the in channel portion down a bit and hope it seated better. I was being reckless during removal and one snapped right in half. So my attempts at DIY fixing ended.

I'm not fond of the exterior ones. TBH, if the in channel matte ones didn't cover the portion of the side mirrors they do, I would have tried those in the hopes I just got a weird formed one the 1st time. But I don't even want to bother. Initially I ordered both the matte ones and the exterior ones but I canceled the matte order. I'll just stick with the AVS exterior window deflectors.

I should also mention the scratching. Every other vehicle I've had in channel deflectors with, I've never noticed it as much or as bad. But it's very noticeable. All 4 windows have tons of pretty deep scratches in them. So I'd like to avoid that in the future when considering these deflectors.

I loved the Maverick overall. Really nothing but positive things to say about it. But I've been chasing the feeling of a full size truck since my last one. This one didn't have the vertical screen and had everything else I wanted at a fairly comfortable price, $49k OTD. I gotta admit, I haven't been this happy with a vehicle in a long time, even though I had to pay to play. I wish they had all these things in a truck the size of the Maverick. I mean, I think my payload is actually less in the full size, but I needed that extra bit of cowboy luxury and FORD just wasn't doing it for me. Basically a Cadillac, but in truck form ;)

This community has been great. A few bad apples and we all got opinions with hindsight being 20/20. Nothing new there. But the discussions overall are so much better than some other forums *coughs* TACOMA WORLD.

Thank you all for your hard work behind the curtains and I'm glad to have been given the opportunity to chat and share opinions and maintenance stuff and everything in between.

I'll lurk around seeing if anyone has a fix for that "25's front end, but I suspect it'll be the same as RAM dropping the V8. No fix because beauracrats are boring and the pen is mightier than the sword. We had a good run while it lasted... I think the no more boring cars stuff is too little too late and BS so I got in what makes me happy and boy does it. I chirped the tires yesterday and it made me smile ear to ear for almost a mile just knowing it was a RWD V8 that did it :ROFLMAO:

You totally went Cowboy Cadillac on us. :)
I've enjoyed your contributions to the forums.

As an aside... I've driven, eaten, and slept in 47 of the 50 states. I lack Wisconsin, Idaho, and Montana. Wife and I told folks back East that we aren't coming next summer... after 19 years in the desert and visiting everyone back east every single summer.... well if they want to see us the 20th year... they need to catch us in Idaho, Montana, Alberta and/or British Columbia instead. Obviously we'll pass through Utah and Colorado too, but we've done those states plenty...

Take care of yourself Montana Man! May you and your family enjoy the country comfort that gorgeous new ride will afford!

Good luck! I've been feeling the "luxury" itch myself but can't scratch it until my kids finish school.

Low end torque is nice. Turbos engines by design aren't going to have that - no fault of the mav just how they are. Don't get a ticket by forgetting about the v8! 😂

How is your real full size truck working out. That's a nice truck.
I love the new Plug-in RAMCHARGER. I just can't justify buying one YET.

That's the PTU plug (front dif). The RDU is the rear. Honestly I think they are the same but I can't recall 100%
Firstly awesome write up on all this so much good info in here!

I came across the same thing though with the PTU and RDU plugs I think you've just got those two mixed up.

Ford Parts shows GN1Z-4N282-A as drain plug and K2GZ-7A010-A as the fill plug for the PTU

Also do you happen to have quantities for the fluids you used for the changes?
