Great video. A Lobo 402A with a luxury package might be real nice.

Not making a ST version is disappointing, however, all the upgrades on the Lobo as an XLT are enticing.
I would not be surprised in the slightest if we got a maverick RS with a tuned 2.0 or better still, the 2.3. Even if they cut boost for longevity, the 2.3 can easily make 300 hp, it does 315 in the mustang and 350 in the focus RS.

A maverick with 300 hp give or take would be a riot. Will it happen? It seems logical to me, but who knows. Ford's CEO hinted that he would like to see RS cars make a comeback. Part of Ford's push to stop making boring cars and offer more icons. Beyond the RS 200 supercar concept Ford designer's revealed a few weeks ago, or developing an electric RS escort hatchback or something, doing a maverick RS is the next best thing.

If they wanted to go really nuts, even throwing in the 2.7 with like 400 hp would be next level, but I don't think they could package that in the maverick.

I don't see any of that happening before they get a better handle on full production of run-of-the-mill models. Ford seems to have great difficulty mass producing the Maverick.

Fingers crossed for a performance pack. Really no reason why they can't sell a Ford tune, air filter upgrade, and spark plugs that has been available for the 2.0 in other models forever. It would also be nice if they put together a full race exhaust as well. I'd love to see a kit with just over 300hp. Even better if they offered a Ford Performance supported Corsair turbo option.

I like that Job 2 is going to be standard on the Lariat model.

Maybe with the new 2.0 engine that has direct injection and port injection we will see higher HP rating when tuned?

The money they are going to ask for this would get you in an F-150 5.0 reg cab with an electric locking diff.

That's how I understood the video. He even said that folks with Lariat pre-orders would see a $300-ish price bump due to the addition..
