Found my tall twin today. Not sure if it has a lift on it, but figured some side by side comparison shots might come helpful for people trying to decide on the lowering kit.

An FX4 doesn't ride any higher than say a standard Ecoboost AWD w/ 4kTow, no?
Correct. The different suspension setups are the following:

Hybrid
AWD (with or without FX4)
Tremor

Unrelated side question. Does the cover ( got same type ) fit over the white tank in back? If so what size/model did you get to fit? Need something like that for Ag use.

I know FX4 intoduces a 'mono-tube performance shock' (different part numbers have been confirmed by others in other posts).. but yeah, the ride height is no different.

I would like to see a Hybrid XLT parked next to an EB XLT (say with AWD an 4K or FX4) to see the ride height difference.. I can't help but imagine that with the focus on fuel economy of the hybrid that Ford was tempted to have it sit just a tiny bit lower to improve aerodynamics.. I wonder if even the EB FWD sits lower than the an EB AWD...

Cool, and what size tire are you running? I see it's not stock, but people have used a lot of varying sizes aftermarket.

Can you list the differences in suspension setups & heights between these three?
hybrid should be the same as fwd ecoboost. any FWD Maverick has a torsion beam rear suspension instead of mcpherson strut like the AWD models use. every model except the tremor is rated for 1500 pounds payload.

tremor is, according to Ford, 1" lift and 1200 pound payload.

presumably every manufacturer offering lift or lowering springs has measured the stock spring free length and rate, but I've never seen it published by anyone.

Tire is 235/55/18 continental extremecontact dsw06+ on 18x8.5 Konig heliograms
that's a shorter than stock tire, interesting. I am planning to wear out my stock 235/60-18 Michelins and thought to use a 255/55-18 next, which is a 29" tall tire. Numerous people are using tires that height with eibach lowering springs.

You might have clearance issues with the driver side rear with 255’s, there is less clearance in that wheel arch sidewall. My 235’s barely cleared. Maybe with a lower offset wheel it may clear, my konigs are 42+ offset

yep it's going to come down to tires. I will be using the stock 18" wheels which are 18x7 +37.5 I believe. but if I need a 5 or 10mm spacer, I'll use one. I'm probably a year out, anyway. Michelins going strong 🤣
