RV - Towing Trailmanor 2720QS hard-sided pop-up trailer

Just bought a Trailmanor 2720QS hard-sided trailer for my Ford Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid w 4K. Drove 1,000 plus miles from AZ to pick it up in Georgetown, TX. The drive back was 1,100 over 2 days w lots of cross and head winds. All were stable w no white lnuckle driving. Weight and dimensions are almost the same as our trailer,19.4 MPG is crazy! With our MDX we'd get about 11 MPG

Was that the nearest one, or did you want the black trimmed one to match the Maverick?

I have liked the idea of these for ages, and the Hi-Lo and that weird french one I can never remember the name of, begins with M I think. Then I get seduced by A-Liner Expeditions and Apaches and go off chasing those.... heh.

Very Nice- Glad to see an upgrade to the not super awesome A/Frames that have been around for while- For now we are really liking this gas guzzling trailer due to it sleeping configuration - Have you towed at elevation yet like Flagstaff/Southern Utah ?

The Phoenix dealer wouldn't come close to match price on their 2025 2518 unit (smaller) w less add ons. We gave them a chance but w a 2026 model that had just arrived in TX and lots of add ons the price was more than worth the time and drive.
This trailer stows in garage, 20 feet towing, 18 ft garaging (1/2 hitch) and 24+ ft front to back.

Oh cool, the full Xzibit deal on the hitch, we heard you like foldups so we put a foldup on your foldup.

Great on scoring the 26, for some reason i thought they were out of production in the 10s, so it didn't dawn on me it was a new one.

We live in Sedona so it was a good climb from the Phoenix area. These TMs have been around since the early 2000s but low produ tion #s. Because of their design there is lots of room. The 2720 tows at 20', garages at 18' (half hitch) and when open it is 24+ ft internal. Trailmanor.com

Confused.you show one picture of a small black trailer,then two of a much larger trailer that look to be over the Mavericks limit. Which one are you referring to?

Trailmanor is a perfect Match for the Maverick with 4K. Low Profile means less frontal area. If we were to go back to a Bumper Pull RV, This would be my 1st choice. Our Current Class A Motorhome gets 8-9 Mpg at best. Years ago we had a Hi-Lo Classic 24ft. Pulled with Grand Cherokee and then a Yukon It towed like a dream as far as handling but it was very Heavy over 5,200 lbs. The Grand Cherokee Struggled and was less stable due to wheel Base on the other hand the Yukon was night & Day different. I kept fuel millage records back in the day Here is one from a trip to the Smoky Mountains from Florida and this includes 8-10% mountain grades.
Tow Vehicle: Yukon / 5.3 / 3.73 tow pkg
Trailer: Hi-Lo classic 24' wet/tow weight: 5,200 lbs
tow miles on trip: 1,786 miles]
gallons fuel burned: 135.862 gallons
average mpg: 13.15 MPG
best mpg: 14.20 mpg
worst mpg: 11.66 mpg

Tow at legal posted speed limit with weather and traffic permitting. Use overdrive with tow/haul button engaged. encountered terrain from sea level to rolling hills to mountain grades of 8% and greater in the national park and Dillsboro N.C.. Tranny fluid temperature never went above 200° F. with the engine temperature never moving past the 195° mark.

J/K.... it's a folding trailer Tim, two upper halves overlap the base and pop up.

Though if you go back in time you can find 27footers from Prowler that are 3000 and change, and later Award trailers, 25feet. So it's just that modern RV makers are useless at the Colin Chapman simplicate and add lightness thing rather than size being an indicator of weight... to a point.

The dry hitch weight is quite close to the Maverick maximum. No issues there once you add some water, propane etc?

It's a hard-sided popup. One picture is of it in the travel position and the others of it in It's open position.
Weight is just over 3,000 lbs.
Closed height just under 7ft
Open height at about 9ft, standing room at 6'4"

We'll not tow w water. We do have to be careful w how we pack. They make a 2518 model that is well under 3000 lbs.
We almost had a deal for that model but they would not match another dealers price on the 2720. We first tried to find a newer used model but not much out their.
