XLT RADIO PROBLEMS

Ordered a XLT LUXURY 360 area 51 hybrid and enjoy reading and preparing for build and arrival …
I keep seeing discussion about the radio freezing up or blacking out….
What’s the deal?
Idea on Fords help fixes for 2022 owners….

Yeah, mine does too. Sometimes the connectivity from my Android to the radio has limitations. I have Bluetooth and wired but maps sometimes works. Sometimes it doesn't recognize the phone as a audio source either.
When my screen goes blank I usually turn the ignition off and disconnect the phone. Then, restart the motor and reconnect the phone and it works. One time I put the truck in reverse, after the back-up camera came on it all started working again
My experience with these issues is almost everyday. Hopefully it gets an update soon to work out the bugs.

Ford will want to update them. That is their fix usually.

This is the first I've heard about this issue. May I ask where are you reading this? I just want to keep myself up to date on any issues so I'm ready once my Maverick arrives. Thanks

I havent had any problems with mine and it has been my daily driver for about a month now.

Looks like we will see how quickly Ford remedies this. Unfortunately I'm guessing it will be a few months for them to identify the cause of the problem and implement the fix. But I hope I'm wrong.

On my 2021 Escape. Sometimes my XM would stop working - no sound and could not flip stations. First they repregranted, the next time they replaced the antenna, then next time they replaced the radio and the following time they replaced something called the PIM. Worked ever since but allot of time for a new 40K SUV to be back to the dealer. BZ for FORD they never gave up. Working fine for two months now.

I hope they figure it out . my radio still on fritz. Won't tune . still stuck on one station . fortunately stuck on jazz station . 51 xlt fx4 .

Still waiting on my Maverick, but wanted to add that this same problem is not limited to Ford. I had these exact issues on the 2019 Equinox that I totaled in July.

My xlt radio had the same problem dealer said to go into settings and do a update that worked. And if that didn't you can do a reboot.
