My Maverick and Samsung s21 plus freeze up

I just had this problem yesterday. I went back out to the car and after the car had completely turned off, it started working again. I will keep an eye on this thread as I am worried this is going to be an ongoing problem.I was using apple car play and all of a sudden it stopped working and disconnected. Then the radio screen froze and I wasn't able to use the touch screen at all, it was completely frozen. I turned off the maverick and opened the door thinking maybe it would reset but the radio stayed on even after the key was removed, door was open and then closed. I tried starting it and putting it into reverse to see if the screen changing to the backup camera would reset it but the backup camera was not working as the screen just went black. When I put it back in to gear it was back on the same radio screen and again turning off the car and opening the door and closing the door didn't do anything. I called the dealer to see if there was hard reset I could do but they said I had to bring it in as the only reset is disconnecting the battery. After about 20 minutes the radio finally turned off.
Has anyone else run into anything similar and or have suggestions on possible fixes?
Do you have the link? I can't found it!My 2020 Ecosport did the same, same system as the Maverick, I had to go to Ford.com and get and update. So far that fixed the problem. Hope this helps.
I think all we really need are low level audio outputs so we could attach external amplifiers.Another reason I wish the auto industry would have standardized on a form factor and interface that would have allowed aftermarket integration.
I made it all work out pretty well with a Kicker Key mounted behind the glovebox. That, plus a Kicker Hideaway 10" sub behind the rear seat worked out pretty well for a stealth installation.I think all we really need are low level audio outputs so we could attach external amplifiers.
For the Ford Focus, people found a (high level input) amplifier which fits behind the OEM head unit. They seem happy with it. I didn’t bother…no room for 12” subwoofer.
