XLT has the worst upper fake vent grille?

Am I the only one who feels the XLT got the worst upper front grille treatment of the trims? The XL and Lariat fake upper grills match/mimic the lower portion much better in my opinion.
The XLT upper is too shallow and just looks cheap to me. Almost makes me wish I had gone with an XL (if not for all the upgrades of XLT in other ways).

Agree all the way around. I ordered the Lariat and hate the interior. Wish I had the XL interior. You can keep the grille. Thanks for taking one for the team. Lariat took it for the interior.

I think it looks ok.....kinda matches the shape of the lower portion of the headlights.

Nothing really (money?) stopping anyone from swapping grilles between models, if it bothers you that much. This is done all the time on F150's, with all the grille styles.

My eyes just get drawn to the cool horizontal "baton" design going across the upper grill that ties into the headlights. The rest of the front end gets lost after that, so I'm good with any of the 3 trims.
I think they nailed the truck's looks pretty well from all angles if I think about it.

The Maverick has to have one of the least objectionable designs in recent memory. Minimal fake scoops and vents, minimal unnecessary body lines zigging this way and that. So I'll forgive the fake part of the grill

My mind quickly wandered to 90s and 00s Pontiacs, with their hideous horizontal washboard body mouldings. culminating in that bitchin' Walter White Aztek monstrosity. At some point if I have a LOT of spare cash doing nothing I might just buy one as a safekeeping investment. LOL

I actually hate the XL grill design the most. Lariat after that with that blocked portion low in the middle. The XL grill & headlights is 1 reason I'm ordering mine in Carbonized Gray instead of White as it washes out the front end to blend in more with the overall paint job.

On the topic of the grill: I've been wondering if the design of 1 or the other might be contributing to the "hood flutter" some people experience and others don't? Just a thought..

I would think something like that would be worked out in design and preproduction, so I'd attribute the hood flutter more to early production bugs. I haven't looked but I'm guessing there's a hood bumper of similar adjustment that can be made somewhere.

Definitely sucks there's no interior choices for the Maverick, BUTT whata want for 20K

I got something in mind for mine but need to get truck to see if it can fit!

No problem. Just get a die grinder with a carbide burr and grind out the filled in areas. Simple.

It is the best for adding a row of lights though.
