Question for those who might own both models or see other mavericks around.

Wondering which interior colour looks less dirty. I don’t wash the interior of my vehicles all that often but I’m also not messy. Can’t decide if the dark interior of the XL or the blue Jean interior of the XLT will look better between washes.

XL does show more of everything like dog hair but fabrics are the easiest to clean. My Silverado was also black ( got a good discount it didn’t sale in TX due to heat ) but much harder to clean.
Got one year of free carwashes so even easier for me with the Maverick.

Ford hasn't had a quality cloth interior in 30 years. You can spill water and it leaves a stain its terrible. Seat covers are mandatory. The fake leather in the Lariot is garbage to but does clean easy.

I had a Lariat for a brief stay of 8 months and the seats were very nice and withstood a Doberman in the backseat on numerous 400 mile trips - probably at least a dozen. I've had less experience with the XL interior and would agree that the cloth fabric used is, indeed, garbage.

The term is ‘Active X’, not fake leather. 🤣

Yeah I plan on getting the Carhartt Seat covers whenever my Mav gets built. I had those seat covers on my Suburban and they are great covers

I saw a Cyber Orange Maverick with the Carhart Seat Covers... They really appeared ill-fitting...

I'm wondering if the XLT with BAP might be the best combo to fight stains (beyond the vinyl, which is just too hot for the sonoran desert).

I haven’t found that to be true. I’ve had three Escapes (one of them over 100,000 miles) and a Fusion. The seats on all of them held up very well. My Mustang however at 50,000 miles was showing wear on the leather seats.

Whatever covers you choose, don’t forget about side air bags. When I asked a customer service rep of a particular brand I was looking at if the seat covers would work for my maverick the FIRST thing the customer service rep asked if my maverick was a dully - WTF ???? I politely said no and hung up.
