Looking for some feedback from any of you who own or have driven both. I had a Ecobost XL for a couple months and it was considerably louder inside compared to the Hybrid XLT I’m driving currently. I don’t know if it was just the drivetrain that was louder or if there is any additional soundproofing added between XL and XLT trims. Kind doubt it since these are economy vehicles. I know the Lariat has the nicer laminated front windshield…not what I’m asking about. Specifically between XL and XLT trims with the hybrid powertrain. Thanks in advance!

I have both an XL and XLT and they sound exactly the same. They are pretty much identical besides the colors and door rest material. I wish I would have saved more money on our first Maverick and got the base XL but at the time it didn't come with Cruise Control which is necessary IMO.

I don't own either yet, but I have been doing a lot of research and based on what I've read/seen, you are hearing the difference between a Hybrid/Ecoboost, not an XL/XLT.

Open your driver's and passenger doors. Look towards the front fender for a shiny black plastic "cushion" with foam inside. I read initially all Mavs had this sound cushion but FoMoCo subsequently deleted it to save $$$. If one vehicle has the cushion and not the other, that could be the reason two hybrids of different trim levels sound differently.

Yes! This is good clue. I remember reading the same but couldn’t remember exactly. Pretty sure that would be the only difference and someone wrote up those part numbers here. I’ll link the thread if I can find it. Appreciate y’all taking the time to respond.
Edit: here’s the tread where this is discussed

Thanks for the firsthand feedback! I may swap out my ‘23 XLT for a ‘24 XL (both hybrid) if the deal makes sense financially but wanted to confirm this first.

From memory, I recall the article about the noise custions included part numbers, around $40-50??? each. Rather expensive for a bag filled with foam. The challenge is getting the part into the space. It may be easier from inside the engine compartment because the door hinges are in the way.

As an aside, and meaning no disrespect to anyone, one reason I sprung for the Lariat is the acoustic windshield and quieter Michelin tires. The driving experience is excellent and there is no wind noise.

I've tried and failed to figure out how to update my profile to reflect the fact I now have a 24 Lariat hybrid, sold the 22 EB Lariat. Anyone offer help?
