I’ve seen two different sets of cruise control switches for the XL modification. Are the proper switches SW8576 and SW8579? Thanks
Correct. Those are the ones I used

I’ve seen some lifts that made the wheels look like they were no longer centered in the wheel well but I don’t see that with yours. Did you do anything to center it?
Nothing special. Just the trailing arm spacer that came with the kit. It is slightly off center, but no where as bad as I’ve seen. I took the plastic air dams in front of the tires off. That helps with the look of the centering too. My truck sat barely 3/4 of an inch higher in the rear from the factory. Some people on here have said they have 1 1/4-1.5 inches of rake. I assume that would make it worse.

How do you like the HRG kit and does it require grinding of the strut ends?

Love the way it came out! Don't normally like lifts mainly because they get the wheels wrong. Your set up looks clean. Nice job!

The HRG kit is solid. Highly recommend. And the shorter sway bar links and eccentric camber bolts sold me on it. The parts are all well built and grade 10.9 hardware. I like the rear coil spacer that sits on top of the coil, makes for super easy install. Rides just a little bit stiffer. Not bad at especially compared to other suspension parts I’ve used in the past. But I think they’re all gonna be like that. More an effect of changing the geometry then which brand of metal you put there.

and you do have to grind a little bit off the strut. I think all kits available right now say to do that. Looking at it.. you probably don’t have to but it’s pretty close. And it’s pretty harmless and I’d rather not tear a boot.

Thanks! Tried to keep it simple, cheap, and bolt on/reversible. Kind of a factory+ daily driver.

So I did my lift kit over the weekend and think my truck is good for now so I figured I’d share.

stuff:
HRG 1.5 inch lift kit
235/70r17 Goodyear workhorse at tires
Painted steelies satin black
Ford soft roll up cover
Ford bed mat and tailgate liner
Added some cheap bed lights (probably will never need to use them but was cheap and a fun way to kill an afternoon)
Weather tech floormats
Tinted front windows
Avs hood protector
Stubby antenna (stupid, 20$ had to have it)
Factory cruise control
And fx4 drive modes added

think that’s it. May do wheels eventually.

like most everyone has said on here the mavericks been a sweet little truck. I didn’t think I was going to like it that much. Traded in my 2019 ranger, 100% because of trade in value and price of the maverick, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I really like it. The ranger was a space ship with all its features but the maverick xl is still pretty fancy to me. No room for a toolbox though so I had to condense down but the under seat storage is awesome.

extra things I did was use different fasteners on the hood protector that work way better and added some pvc insulation to the crossbars or the soft cover to get it tighter.

also will post a pic of cv angle at ride hide with lift cause that is something I was interested in but could not find

You are so prepared that your truck will never need a tool ever! I am jealous. You are really set and prepared for anything.

Haha thanks! I’ve been broke down on the side of the road a few times only once I got caught in a brand new to me car without any tools and had to call a tow truck. Also been stuck off road beyond my ability to self recover ONCE. Not fun. It can always happen but it try to keep the odds in my favor as much as reasonably possible.

The picture online did. Mine did not. I saw a few on here that also did not, but the other day I saw one that looked like it had the cutouts from the factory so idk 🤔

So what will happen to your warranty then? Voided?
If cv shaft dies or my abs module bricks I’m sure they’d tell me tough luck it’s modified. But my passenger c pillar speaker had worked intermittently since day one and my dealer has one on order for me right now to be replaced under warranty and they didn’t even blink about it. Usually the modification has to cause the failure to void the warranty. How much difference a dealer will fight that idk. I’ve had no problems getting warranty work done my few vehicles that have had warranty’s that have been modified. But anecdotal evidence..

I'm ordering one next week and want to make sure they come with the cut out. I thought they updated it to now include the cut out.

How do you like the Avs hood protector? It looks like it stands off the hood? Do you have a picture of it from a more sideview angle?
