Had a regular cab f150, always looking for a dry storage in the cab. My back seat has seen no humans. Just groceries, small coolers, restaurant doggie boxes and the like. The rubber mats in the back floor area eliminate spill/leak damage from the above. I do use the bed for large grocery runs. I have a $20 Amazon 3-compartment divided cargo organizer in the bed. No spilled milk, Hence no tears.

I prefer reg cab trucks. Rather have more bed space than interior space. My 99 f150 flareside's only short coming was the 5' 5" bed not the missing interior space. If they made a full 6' bed Mav reg cab I'd be first in line.

in a heartbeat.... don't need the extra seating. having a longer bed, would make trips to hardware stores easier. most trips would not require a trailer...

There are a couple of reasons it's been so long since I've had a pickup, even though I've wanted one. 1) There just haven't been small trucks available for years, and I have not needed or desired to own, a full-sized truck. 2) I want to have the option of driving with friends, therefore, I need a back seat. The last small truck I had was a 96 Nissan, and it's been about 10 years since I had it. And it was only a two-door. I've had 2 Hyundai Tucson's since then, but I need an open bed for hauling fishing gear and the like. The Maverick is an almost perfect fit for what I wanted. It can easily hold four of us (five if necessary) and has enough bed for probably 99% of my needs.

If you want to sleep in a pickup, buy an F150.

The Mid-Gate would be a game changer for me! I wonder about removing the window and making a pass through to the bed with a cap on it?
Want to recline your front seats to get a few ZZZ's at a rest stop on a road trip? Can't do that with a 2 door short cab.
Yeah, but make it a SuperCab like my '95 Ranger.

Don't worry, next year Ford will come out with a SuperCab 2 door with a 6 foot bed for us. Trust me, I work for the government.
