Maybe 1 MPG max.
From the article
"AirShaper (computational fluid dynamics) analyzed these ideas using A2MAC1's surface model data for the F-150 hybrid and determined the combined effect would be a drag reduction of 25.05 percent, with that last idea (sloped back) accounting for a staggering 14.82 percent improvement by itself. Bob pointed out in his post that an improvement could rightly be expected to improve the range of our electric versions of the truck by 6 or 7 percent."

Which is funny because they were SUPER functional. Big space, fairly comfortable. They just really messed up the styling. They re-skinned it and built the Buick Rendezvous, basically the same vehicle un-uglied.
I had an Aztek. They were giving them away. Paid 19k on a 26k sticker. Got rid of it with 288k. Only replaced AC compressor. I loved it. Even had the tent. Very functional. 26 mpg.

Motor Trend will be. The vehicle they installed it on is their long term test Lightning which they are desperate to get more mileage out of a charge.

Reminds me of the old Rambler/AMC Marlin from the mid-60's.

Hmm, CyberMav.....I think I'll pass, doubt it gives a significant increase over a tonneau or camper top, while killing visibility and having questionable looks.

The back smoked glass, I don't think visibility would be an issue

I'm honestly just curious to see how many MPGs you can get out of this truck.
Myself and a few other folks have gotten 57-58 MPG over the span of a whole tank, over many weeks, with many cold starts. City only.

But if I got in and drove a whole tank with 1 or better yet, zero cold starts.... filled up on a warm engine and just went for one looooong drive, 60-65 MPG is possible in the zone of 35 to 45 MPH.

I like the Aztec, but I loved my gen 1 honda insight. It's function over form.
Hey! I had one too!

A hand-built all aluminum body 81 MPG for me car. A museum piece! Should have cost twice the price. I had the rare "citrus" color.

The oddest thing for me was the rear axle was more narrow that the front. It it didn't work well to drive in snow ruts.

I have seen people use plugin engine block and/or oil pan heaters, even in relatively mild climates, so they can keep their engine warm and therefore get the highest fuel mileage. For some people its a competition for the highest mileage.
