It was a lot easier than I expected I started at the dash cam I used the OEM mirror mount verses the straps - routed wires inside black shroud above mirror to access the headliner (it pops off easy) tucked the wires as I went towards driver‘s side A Pillar popped the trim covering it carefully then routed rear camera wire and power wire behind the air bag - worked my way down the trim on the side of the dash drop into the dash cavity there with the power cord being I used the OBD II Port for power verse going to the fuse box On the passenger side

i continued lifting the trim along the bottom of the door did a little crossover at the center door post then continued under the trim across the rear door then up the door trim until I got to the top of the back seat

i worked the trim openings up to the head liner across the back glass - removed the 3rd brake light unplugged the camera and snaked the plug and cord from the outside and reconnected it and tucked it into the headliner

good luck if you decide to go this route it was pretty easy honestly

Dave
I have a Pelsee mirror dash cam. I thought about fishing the wire under the headliner straight back to the rear. Seems like there is agap between the headliner and the roof. I pushed on the headliner and it seems to flex upward. Hopefully I can push a fish wire from the front roof panel to the rear dome light. What do you think?

I think it’s possible I’d definitely start at the dome light and go forward towards the windshield (assuming you don’t have a moonroof) pulling down the headliner at the windshield to fish the wire towards the rear could be a challenge I only needed to pull the headliner down about a 1/4” - 1/2” to tuck the wires in the headliner note the headliner is a lot more ridge than I would of thought thankfully no damage occurred and the headliner looks as good as it did before I started the project

Thanks for your opinion. I plan on removing the overhead console trim at the front. I don't have a moonroof. I got a adapter that plugs into the harness under the front overhead console. I will just have to be careful not to poke a hole or make a mark on the underside of the headliner that may show through. I will make sure I tape the end of the fishwire so if I have to pull it back I don't snag anything. Hopefully I can get it through in 1 try.

Sounds like a good plan Rick I look forward to seeing some pictures of your install - good luck 👍

Didn't know where to add my comments to how valuable these rear cameras are vs using the interior mirror. Attached is a pic (poorly taken by me) showing the 5-ton air conditioner that I was transporting using the Maverick. It was just tall enough to completely obstruct my view out the rear window. Now had I had the rear camera mounted above the 3rd brake light, I would easily been able to see everything behind me. This further reassures me that when I get my own Maverick this summer (currently driving a company car maverick) my first mod will be this WolfboxG900 Pro setup. Thanks to all who already own one and encouraging others like be to get one!

Did you ever end up fishing the rear camera wire under the headliner? I was thinking of doing this instead of what I did last time which was a real pain.
