I would suggest finding a local shop on Yelp or Google and compare prices. If you can afford it, get ceramic on all the windows as it is the best for heat reduction and won't interfere with antennas (even thought that shouldn't be a problem on the Maverick). Also you can get a clear ceramic on the front windshield to reflect the heat all around.

Is that pet a cat with an abrasive little tongue or a dog who just enjoys licking the windows? I'd have never even considered that...haha
The dog is trying his best to please you by cleaning the flattened bug off thats on the other side of the glass.

Is there any chance that Hermosillo is sending out different tint levels to different states based on ordering dealership location? I assume not, but I've been seeing posts ranging from 20% to 35%, many of which state their "guy" matched whatever he added to the stuff on the back of the Mav already.
Again in Texas!
Inspection stations use a tint meter to check if your tint is legal. If it's not you will fail inspection, so remember, make sure your tint allows at least 25% light transmission and less than 25% reflectance. "These windows are completely exempted from regulation under the Texas Transportation Code."

$185 for 20% front windows and 5% windshield strip. No warranty as the front windows by law are 35% max. This was for 3M, not the cheapest option. As far as legality in some of the other states, get a Dr's note stating you need window tint.

I have local quote for $75 two front windows.

I also have a $200 quote from Auto Armor in BG KY. These guys are a high-end detailer that also does Ceramic Coating and PPF. They’re the goto for the CoreVet Plant there in BG.

And that’s a part of $2800 bid to do a small PPF bra and ceramic coating of the full truck. Not yet sure I’m up for that cost.

I am going to get my front windows tinted to match the back, and as I haven't ever had that done, I'm curious what people pay for that. My dealership offered to do it for $249 with a warranty, and given that they a) offered that unprompted, and b) included a warranty (which I don't honestly think I should ever need on window tint, of all things), I assume it's WAY overpriced, but I don't know that necessarily.

Related, if not the dealer, where do you go to have that done, or do you recommend some DIY method? We've all seen poorly done tint, that's not the goal here...

If you guys and gals have more experience here, I'd appreciate some guidance, and I imagine there may be others wondering the same.

Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere already. I did a super quick search and didn't see it, but let me know. I appreciate you people.
Without knowing the quality and spec's on the tint such as UV and Heat resistance pricing can vary simply based upon how effective the quality and effectiveness of the tint and manufacturer. Most Manufacturers have different grades of film and price varies accordingly.

States don't typically have laws regarding the level of tint on the back side windows or rear window. State regs usually apply to the front windshield and front side windows. Anyone that matches the existing tint from the manufacturer may or may not be legal depending on what the state allows for tint. In Tennessee it's 35% which is lighter than most rear windows.

I have a quote from SML Window Tint in Lewisville: "Madico Black Pearl Nano Ceramic, and it’s $115 total to do the fronts" and an additional $40 for the eyebrow windshield top strip.

https://madico.com/automotive/window-tint/black-pearl-nano-ceramic

It is $30 cheaper to go with Madico Charcool lifetime warranty film but the Nano Ceramic is much better.

I will be going with 35% as Texas has a limit of 25% and the film only comes in 35% then 20%.

Also the variance could be upto 20% off as one person here stated the he had 35% put on but it measured 28% after installation.

Texas has yearly inspections that measure the % and if it is less than 25% you will have to have it removed.

Edit: Total cost was only $139 as they had a 10% discount for 65+ age.

I heard the same thing about putting up wallpaper "It isn't that hard".

I even watched a video of doing the installation at a Home Depot Store in 2003. After watching the video twice I realized that it really was not easy at all. For someone who does it all the time yes but not for the novice/first time installer.

So I will gladly give SML Window Tint in Lewisville to install: "Madico Black Pearl Nano Ceramic, and it’s $115 total to do the fronts" and an additional $40 for the windshield top strip.

Bummer I'm in NJ where the law is no windshield or front side window tint at all.

I fought this years ago and won.. But every time you get pulled over you have to pretend to be a lawyer and go before the judge.. Federal Law indicates it's 100% legal to tint all windows as long as you have proper light transmission on all driving windows. So on a Truck, you would need the front two and the windshield to have 70% light transmission. How i fought it was i requested they provide the light transmission data at the court and provide the date and time it was taken, they never take it, just make claims it's illegal, and i won, because the Federal law, or Supremacy Clause indicates, that they can't ticket you without proof of it being illegal.. But it is a pain in the butt, and I only fought it because the cop was a D who pulled me over.

You can use:

With the cameras looking out the windshields, does the tint bar come down low enough to obstruct the view? Would the tint affect the camera's abilities or does it not matter?

It's not scientific, but I swear the 70% I have on my windshield makes the screen darken sooner (at dusk) than it normally would.
