US company, designed in the US, US owned factory, workers trained by US personnel, working with US made robots and QA by US standards.
The impact of the location's primary difference is the labor cost, which is why it was produced there.

Actually, the more appropriate term might be assembled in Mexico...
We live in a different world now, nothing wrong buying a none US made products, in fact Ford is exploring strategic technology collaborations and partnerships with Chinese automakers and battery suppliers to lower production costs and access advanced electric vehicle (EV) technology

Good point. There are very few products that are sourced and made completely within any single country, even something as seemingly simple as a wood lead pencil, which involves at least four to five countries for sourcing raw materials and the production of the finished product..

Even what seems to be a relatively simple product requires global cooperation.

MaverickDragon is spot on. It's a world economy, parts sourced from virtually everywhere. And the Maverick plant in Hermismo now has Fords 1st ever Robatic Dog (featured on 60 Minutes), that walks the assembly line conducting maintenance inspections, cutting edge. The Robot Dog will soon be utilized at the largest, most lucrative Ford plant in the world in Louisville where my grandson is an engineer. Our Mavs are indeed assembled in Sonora MX, with parts from everywhere. I love made in America, but we thru that baby out with the bath water long ago.

I really enjoy my Mav. I don't care where it was made, but I do think if it was made, sourced, assembled in the good old USA, it would have been a 40k base model in 2021 with just as many, if not more problems and recalls.

The reason you found a vehicle that fit your needs, is because of forums like this. All of us early buyers of the then new truck from Ford, started to post all the features this truck needed to be the "Greatest Small Truck Ever"!
So VERY true! This is the exact reason I came onboard a half year ago, to pick your brains and learn as much about the Maverick BEFORE I pull the trigger and purchase one. I'm now within a few weeks of that day coming. I thank ALL of you on this forum!
