I had the rear door shower happen to me yesteday, odd it was a light rain. Opened rear door, water was in that little rubber gasket, and ended up on the rear seat, and rear floot mat.
All....rear door showers happen on my 22 F-250 also. Not alot of water.... but when you open and lean in in one motion....It gets ya.....LOL

I have the same issue with my 25 Lariat and the rear doors. Living in the PNW, lots of rain so it happens often. Otherwise, love my Maverick.
Style over function.
Style won and we lost a convenient place to secure a roof rack.
Here's a Ford Maverick with rain gutters.

2: A bigger thing and it's water related. It doesn't rain in SoCal often, but sometimes it does a lot (has in the past month). When I open the rear doors, on either driver's or passenger's side, unless I quickly open the door---a flood of water that's been hiding in the seal floods the inside of the back. It doesn't do this on the front doors, just the rear doors.

For the last part, like I said, it doesn't rain much, but when it does I'm probably trying to put something in the back that I'm trying to keep dry. And the doors don't help.
The dealer's service people say they've never heard of this, then they will lie and say they tried to reproduce the problem.

You're in Hawthorne, have any opinions on the service folks down there? Folks at my dealership are in the not so bright AND crooked quadrant unfortunately.

Okay, I'm sure this is probably been mentioned in another thread, but here's what I got. Just got a 2025 Ford Maverick, XLT, Hybrid a month or so ago and just a few minor complaints. I mean a few obvious, "Why is that $1 plastic cover missing when I now have to to pay $11 to get one on Amazon?" kinds of things. (Like the cover under the tailgate specifically.) Yeah, I get it's Ford saving money here and there. So after a few weeks of buying seemingly random things, I really enjoy it!

Here's two minor things that bother me.

1: The windshield wipers. I can't just pull them away from the windshield if I need to wash the windshield or (later) change out the blades. Yeah, the wipers are deeper under the hood, but still.

Anyway, love my "velocity blue" Maverick! Do kind of wish Ford hadn't reused a model name though: "I just got a Ford Maverick!" "Oh yeah, my dad had one back in the day." "No, not the one you're thinking of."
To solve most of your problems, move out of California!

I live in Las Vegas. Is this "rain" you speak of something that the local kids put on cars as a prank?
