Probably the wrong question for this forum, but maybe some one can give me an answer. I have Maverick lariat hybrid. Does the back of the front seats bend forward or lay back. I'm trying to put seat covers on them and noticed that the seat backs don't move like my frontier did.

They should ask, but its real easy to fix. Heat the decal with a hair dryer for a minute and it will peel right off usually. Just be slow with the peel and keep the heat on. A little Goof-Off for any residue and you're done.

So I my Maverick has arrived at a local dealership. I didn't place my order through them just rather paid them to do the prep, inspection etc... when it arrives, courtesy delivery. The purchase is being processed at an out of state dealer. Went to check out my truck and found they put their dealership sticker on my Maverick. I guess they need to mark my Maverick as if they owned it. I will definitely make them take it off when I pick up my Maverick hopefully next week.

It's like a dog pissing on a pole. They're just leaving their mark. I don't know if they can help it.

Honestly, my local dealer made it a great experience, so I don't mind leaving one of their small tasteful badges on there for now. I did remove the licence plate frame and the tow hithc cover that they put on there, though -- having their name on the back of the truck in 3 places seemed like overkill.

I'm sure I will peel off that last badge at some point, but for now it's fine.

I understand the annoyance with the sticker and or license plate frames but is it really that hard to take second to peel the sticker off using a fingernail? It won’t hurt the paint if you’re careful and probably won’t leave any residue to wipe off
if it’s like most of the clear printed style. A badge with 3m type tape is more involved so you could have the dealer do it that case especially if you asked them not to put it on. Even then I personally prefer to do things myself whenever possible.
Just my .02 cents.
Yes, I asked them to remove it a day before I came in to pick it up and you know what happened? They didn't remove it so the lady in the office came out and attempted to peel that thing off with her long finger nails. At this point, I asked her to stop. Yeah, there's a better way of removing that sticker than to have someone scratching the paint off my brand new truck. BTW, the paint sucks. I scuffed the side of the truck with just a box of Swiss Miss Chocolate when loading it into the truck. Apparently paper and paint on this truck don't go too well together. Just imagine what long finger nails can do.

Haven’t dealt with Maverick paint yet, still waiting.
As I said “carefully” and a heat gun “carefully” a foot away or more if it’s chilly out. Never had an issue on the several other vehicles I had. Makes me nervous about detailing the Mav if and when it shows up😵💫

Luckily my dealer just put on a license plate frame with the dealer's name. I threw it away when I took off the temp tag to put on my permanent tag.

I asked my dealer to not put their logo. They did. Took me 3.74 seconds to take it off. Cost them an extra $.08 to put it on.

I got to my dealer before they could detail it and told the sales guy not to dare but a decal on it, I'll drive it home dusty.

Had a car many years ago that the dealer emblem was falling off and I helped it along. Took it to the dealer for service and they put a new one on. When I asked why they did it they told me it was part of their inspection checklist when they released a vehicle that was purchased there.

In the old days they used to rivet it to the trunk.

Are/Were you the Shadow Black truck at LM? @fordvideoguy couldn't figure out why (and neither could us viewers) until he revealed the customer's delivery instructions.

Peal the sticker very slowly until it's completely off the truck. Take a rubber gloved hand and apply a very, very small amount of acetone to a mircofiber cloth and remove the residue. wash off the spot with soap and water ASAP since acetone residue will degrade the paint within a couple of hours.
