I just updated to the new version but it looks the same as it always does for me? 😏

I think you will have to “drive to reconnect.”

FYI the “fix” I’m referring to is the MTE added back. I didn’t mean it made coffee for me or anything crazy. 🙂

Yep! Update is out today, and it mentions the MTE and % fix:

Unfortunately, it’s still broken for me. My vehicle still shows as on all the time, with an in accurate location reading. Almost like it is just getting an occasional update from the truck. I can’t use the remote functions right now.

Kidding aside, I plan on putting in a better 12V battery just as soon as the original one fails so that will hopefully solve the drive to connect problem. Honestly Ford could probably fix it for most of us if they change the parameters to deep sleep slightly. it seems the truck taps out the second the voltage drops below some arbitrary number but fails to check again in case it was just a temporary condition. My voltage always drops really low after you shut it down but climbs back up into the lower to mid 12v range a few minutes later.

Bringing the MTE back is a plus especially for those of us with Hybrids. I would like to see the ODO put back on to the same page as I usually want both these numbers at the same time.

I see a lot of excuses for why people don't even need the "miles to empty" feature on the app. The app itself isn't necessary to be honest. It's kind of like a basic calculator. A time saver, but there is nothing done in it that can't be done with pencil and paper - and a little (or a lot) time.

I can think of 2 reasons that they might have done this.
1, software people always like to change things up, whether an improvement or not. Just change for the sake of change. Look at the Windows interface. Improvements? I'd say not. Just stuff moved around so you have to waste time looking for things that were once easy to find and navigate.
2, the feature removed can later be added as an additional feature in the "deluxe" version, for a subscription fee.
LOL! On a similar note, years ago bought a new F150 and the salesman was touting the new "double windshield visor" that would let you swing one over to your drivers side window, and then drop down the second one on the windshield. I told him "i had that feature on my F150 six yeas ago. You guys just take away a good idea and then put it back years later and call it "new" ;)

I guess that can come in handy when both of our suns are up at the same time? /sarcasm off (just in case someone thinks I was being serious)

Did anyone else notice you cannot add your own service records on the pass app any longer 🤬

I think I need it repeated at least once more before I understand it.

Computer engineer's way of thinking? % of fuel in the tank (a known) has to be more accurate than an estimate of miles-to-empty (a guess), right?

(BTW - not an engineer and really want my mile-to-empty back...)
% is more accurate.

That's cool. Both percentage and miles to empty is helpful.
