I just went through this entire thread and I have to say that by and large people conducted themselves very well and were respectful. We need more of this dialog in this country. Differing opinions, sure. Respecting those opinions? Absolutely.

I mean this what what a discussion forum is all about right? Discussion. :)

BTW, 19 days to August 2 is anyone counting. :ROFLMAO::LOL:

I must say we are too easily saying Ford must be blamed even though due to our fault as a country pretty much every industry now relies on providers from out of country and is facing supply chain issues and are facing employment problems due to lazy people not wanting to work because a generation was told they need to expecs to get a paycheck in the mail for doing nothing cuz that is how is should be. We tend to act as though Ford is exempt and should be cranking vehicles out without a hitch. Simply, plainly, not true. Do I wish it was different? Sure. But let's not blame Ford as a company.
This Maverick is made in Mexico.

Who hasn't lost power at their house and had the electric company miss estimates for restoring power? Last Tuesday, my area lost power due to a bad storm with high winds. Original estimate for restoration was 22 hrs, continuously missed and extended by 12 hrs at a time. 72 hrs later we had power. Similar pattern to my XL build. Accurately forecasting future events is hard.

Are all the parts that make up a Maverick made in Mexico also, or do the plants have to rely on shipments from other places to assemble one?

Awww, man! You mean we don't live in an "Imagine" perfect world where all we have to do is give everyone a coke and we will live in perfect harmony? My bubble is busted!

Parts are made by a number of manufactures, some from the US, some Canada, some Mexico, chips from Japan and maybe Taiwan.

Of course, and this is why, no different than the local store that gets stuff from everywhere but can't get it here due to no fault of their own, should not be blamed, so also Ford. Lack of informing? There fault. Problems in getting things built? Welcome to reality.

For a minute there I thought I was reading the Washington Post.
Sigh.

The supply chain problem is not a Washington Post unverified article. It is a fact. And, I doubt if it is manufactured by the stores or Ford to drive up prices. Manufactured by the manufacturers? Maybe. But, doesn't change the reality of the inability of us or companies to get the things from out of country manufacturers we sadly now rely on. If you are a company manager/owner that can prove me different, I would love to hear it.
