As others have pointed out, the correct answer is: no one. $20K qualifier should be removed. Rolling back the clock, some people bought off the lot and paid ADM. It might have been the right choice for that person.

Yup,and they are over 40 grand now.Happened to me too. I told myself I was getting the $20k version with ONLY a $100 trailer hitch, even had color picked out, black. When came time to order I ended up with 2023 XLT BAP LUX and paid extra for Alto Blue! so much for $20k
I did! Zero options - nothing, carbonized gray, nice conservative black cloth seats, ordered it in October of '21, only saw it in person one time, never drove one or sat inside one, just put my $100 deposit down and waited 11 months. Marvelous truck, 28K miles, no breakdowns, nothing annoying, nice and peppy, 45mpg (I drive mostly city) , a/c is wonderful, I'm good with the radio, on rare occasion get the 'go drive me' symptoms. I even got some $500 off location promotion off the price - I walked out of the dealership for under 22K including sales taxes plates etc. Fantastic deal - I do believe I can get about 20K for it now. Added on the trifold cover, the rubber bed mat and the Ford tray mats afterwards. Also was able to finance thru my credit union for 3 percent interest- one more year and it's paid off.Hello MTC Nation: did you buy a completely base/no options $20k 2022 XL Hybrid? If so, how has the value been for you? I would do it again. Or not a good decision.
yep unfortunately the trailer hitch was problematic due to availability and holding back production so there were some who decided to eliminate that stop point and drop it just to get the truck faster..if at all."No options" made no sense when a factory-installed trailer hitch receiver was only $100.
I did wonder if it was a luxury to supersize the spare tire ($115 and it's still not "full size") but then I had occasion to use it, twice.
In total: $215 over base price. Yes, I'd do it again.

Outstanding. That’s as good as it gets. Now you could load up a Lariat into the $40k range.I did! i paid so much less than $40k for my 2025 Lariat. If we’re going to pretend that a $21,490 vehicle was really $19,995….Outstanding. That’s as good as it gets. Now you could load up a Lariat into the $40k range.
I did!! (Technically I got the tow hitch as it was $99, at the time, about $100 less than Curtis)Hello MTC Nation: did you buy a completely base/no options $20k 2022 XL Hybrid? If so, how has the value been for you? I would do it again. Or not a good decision.
eCVT is wonderful. I was underwhelmed by the overall power of the drivetrain in the mountains last week (it always was adequate but she really had to dig going up) but the eCVT was so awesome and made driving the Maverick around there a total joy.FWIW, it is not a conventional CVT - it is an eCVT. A very different animal from a CVT. No belts, no pulleys. And with 2/3 less moving parts, will likely far outlast the conventional transaxle in an ecoboost. Toyota has been proving that in the Prius, since 1997.
Besides incredible gas mileage, the eCVT is my favorite feature of the Hybrid Maverick. Completely smooth with no schizo shifts - because it doesn't have to shift.
