Just bought a 2026 hybrid AWD Maverick XLT Saturday and for the life of me I can’t find the navigation screen. is it supposed to connect through your phone or something? I’m at a loss! Otherwise I totally love this truck.

Please advise

Good day

I have a 2025 Lariat, but I think the 2026 XLT may not come with built in Navigation.

If true, you need to connect your cell phone (if you have a data plan, I imagine) via android auto or apple car play.

Instructions should be in the electronic manual or sesrch the site here...by first checking out the similar entries at the bottom of this page...quite often they can help!

Third option, depending on your preference, get a stand alone Garmin (for example) gps with a lifetime subscription...not as good/up to date as Waze or Google Maps but works everywhere, no cell service or data plan needed.

If still stuck, post your query here...I did lately see an explanation given on how to set your phone up, so there is a recent thread on it.

I hope this helps!

Andy

I would agree with SafetyGuy, the XL & XLT trim levels did not include navigation. You can still get navigation via Apple Car Play or Android Auto apps and the navigation will appear on your vehicle display

Thanks for all the advice. I was able to get CarPlay to hook up my phone and Maps app to the screen and it works just fine. I don’t know why I didn’t get NAV when I bought the car. I guess it must’ve been an oversight on my part but it turns out I don’t need it. I’m gonna set the wife’s phone up tonight. Thanks again for all the advice. Love those Mavericks.

Great to hear you are good to go.

My thought is that you only get 1 year of use before you have to pay about 80.00 a year to update and use it...it is TomTom based and inferior, from my own experience using it.

You are better off using your phone map app....I know we do!

Cheers,

Andy

My 24 Lariat has built-in Nav, but I prefer the Apple maps function from my iphone. The big advantage is that since it is collecting data from all the apple phones ahead of you and updates road conditions, especially traffic jams.
Having just completed a 7000 km trip and being able to see the red or yellow indication on the road ahead is so useful when encountering traffic jams on the Interstates. Also, the routing suggestions to get around the traffic jams work really well in my experience.
I-75 was completely closed southbound south of the Florida Turnpike exit on the way down and although the routing seemed a bit strange, it got me around the problem and right back onto the highway.
Basic nav just shows the map which is nice, but the live updates make all the difference.

To my chagrin, I have discovered that I have the connectivity package which is supposed to include NAV. It’s not showing up on my display, and the Ford app says that there are a customer service line is supposed to be open until 11 o’clock tonight and here it is 9 o’clock in there give them a call and they say they’re closed so I don’t know what gives anybody have. Any ideas

I consider the space the Ford NAV takes up on my screen to be a waste of space. As others mention, Apple maps, Google maps, and Waze are all better. At least in my Toyota, which didn't have NAV, when I pushed the NAV button it actually opened a Maps app from my phone. I appreciated having it easily accessible and not wasting screen space with an inferior map system.

The Ford NAV system in my F150 was very irritating for the first three years I had it. It kept giving me a LOT of useless alerts when towing, and there was no way to shut it off. Finally, an update resolved that problem.

So, my conclusion is you probably aren't missing much if anything.

Apparently, the "Connectivity Package" contents vary by the model/trim according to the order guide if I'm reading it correctly 🤷‍♂️
