Forgive me if this is posted everywhere everyday. I just ordered a basic 2024 hybrid XL trim today. Im just trying to get any indication of when it would come in to the dealer? I know production does not start until October. I would prefer 6 months or more so I can save more money for the downpayment. Any general timeframes would be appreciated.

On this forum, that combination is called a unicorn. Probably only built when a dealer has unused allocations. Check the allocations of the dealer and see if they will disclose how many they have.

Dealer told me 8 to 10 months for my XL. He also said that to reduce scheduling delays, to go with the fewest options and go with ordering the accessories from the dealer later if possible. For me that would be the tailgate lock, bed mat...

I would anticipate 10-12 months, hard to say, depends on lots of factors. If you get it sooner your expectations will be exceeded

Possibly never. The basic hybrid XL is the least produced variant, and the one with the lowest priority for Ford to build it seems.

Figure on a year wait, and then be pleasantly surprised if it's earlier :)
I doubt it would be never as Ford and my dealer like money. Im fine with a year can save my money and pay half of it off at time of pickup.

Ford has a bunch of rollover orders from 2023 which they said would have priority Nov - Feb. Add in a 1 month delivery window to PA and your absolute earliest possible arrival is March. So if you are worried about it arriving too soon you are well in the clear. After that when it gets scheduled is anybody's guess. I ordered mine Sept. 2022. My dealer didn't get any Mavericks built for them until June 2023.

But keep close to this site in coming weeks when you will hopefully see how many XL's were ordered and how many Ford intends to build.

Is this a new order or roll over from 2023?

I like your strategy....proclaim you want to wait at least 6 months, almost certainly guaranteeing you delivery of the first XL hybrid off the line, 5 months ahead of schedule..... :poop:

Ford has a really neat term for when they overlook your build. They call it "balanced out" which means they will not build it. Both the XL and Hybrid is constrained; together, you are heading for a "balance out" at the end of the production year, unless your dealer is fat on allocations and then Ford will ignore these constrains.
