When can I "Activate Vehicle" on Fordpass Connect?

Hi all,
I searched the forum but didn't find and answer to this. My XLT is in production right now. When I opened the Fordpass Connect tonight it showed below. Can I go ahead click the Activate Vehicle button while they are still working on it? I don't want to screw up anything. Thanks in advance!

I believe your dealer has to activate it. I wouldn’t screw with it just to be sure

When you have physical access to the truck. You need to be able to click "accept" on the screen in the truck.

When you have physical access to the truck.

This is for security.

It verifies you have the account/VIN credentials, and you are actually sitting in the vehicle.

Fordpass app will also show you who else has access. Technically both vehicles are "mine" but I can see my wife on the permission list.

Had to cycle the ignition a couple of times before it gave me the "accept" message on the vehicle. It all worked by the time I got home from the Dealer.

Some people have activated early and had someone "accept" in-transit.... But I can't see that being a good idea. You will likely lose out on your Ford pass points if it is activated that far before your sale date.

I tried but it would not let me activate it. The truck is somewhat around St. Louis, I think with a destination to Atlanta. My thought process was being able to track it real time.....

You need to have the vehicle to activate it in the vehicle once you tap that button on the app. You will need to wait for the vehicle to show up at the dealer to activate it completely.
