My Michelins came from the dealer at 37 psi. The factory recommendation on the door panel is 35 psi. Thinking about going to 32 psi for a smoother ride.
I've got lowering springs on my hybrid and it stiffened to ride so I dropped my pressure to 30, can't hurt the mileage, I only get 35 anyway!

My XLT came from the dealer at 40 psi, on Feb. 1, 2024. I thought about letting some air out, but decided to wait and see how long it would take for them to lower themselves. After ~600 miles, they are now at 39 psi.

I set mine to the decal 35, Dealer had it at 45 rode really rough at 45. At 35 still a little rough but I’ll live with it plus they are nitrogen filled

I usually keep them a couple over the 35psi on the placard, to allow for cooler weather. Tire pressure roughly drops or raises 1 PSI for every 10 Degree swing in temperature. Once the warm summer weather is here to stay, I'll adjust them as necessary.

Make sure you verify TPMS readings with a quality gauge. My truck always reads 4-5psi off (low) on the TPMS vs actual.

Also, you generally gain/lose 1 psi for every 10 degrees of ambient temp change (lower = colder, warmer = higher) If you have nitrogen fill, it's more temp stable.

My hybrid XLT was delivered to the dealership with 44 pounds in each tire. I dropped them to 40. Am I the only one who is entertained by watching tire pressure increase on the screen as I drive?

here’s my issue.
My Dealer does the Nitro upgrade (no choice - part of Dealer Package), but it doesn’t account for altitude. They set it for 32psi in Tucson, but when I get home, (over a thousand feet higher in altitude), my tire pressure is lower (28 - 30 psi).

Nitrogen may not be variable in a set domain, but if you take it from 3600 feet to 5400 feet, it makes a difference.

My 225/65r17 Pirellis came at 40 and lowered them to 36.
Now I’m running 245/65r17s at 35.

I aim for 37-42 in the heated shop. Gives a safe margin for pressure drop when out in the cold.
The posts about under inflation are concerning.
Read this article for the dangers of incorrect pressure.

Along time ago I lived in Dearborn and attended the training centers school for tire tech. Ford spends a lot of time on selecting the best tire 🛞 and tire pressure for the veh. The link defines exactly that 👍😀
