What is this wiring harness for?

I was going through the glove box in my Maverick the other day to see what I had in there and forgot this wiring harness thing was in there and was wondering what is it used for?

IIRC, it's used to plug into the 12 volt socket at the rear of the bed so you can hook up whatever 12 volt device you like using the pigtails...

That's the 12V pigtail harness. If you pop open the small black plastic covers on the left and right sides of the bed near the tailgate, you'll find the matching factory plugs hidden behind them. You can buy ready-to-go 12V accessories on Etsy that fit right into those bedside slots, or use that harness to wire up your own custom bed lights or power outlets.
