Steelies have center caps that need to be pried off to change tire.Officially, it is the Wheel Cover Remover Tool. A bit useless considering the Maverick does not have wheel covers, so it can just be your general pry tool.

The square end fits perfectly inside the end of one of the spare tire rods that connect to access the lowering nut for the spare tire
It's stored loosely in one of the felt jack kit pockets.
Hybrid seems to have a different method for manual fuel door opening? Weird that the photo seems to be of a different vehicle though.
