First off, I have no idea if this is true. But i've read on this forum and other places that the tires on new vehicles do not have the same tread depth of the same tire purchased at normal retail locations. IF it is true, i would be curious if the tires purchased at dealers are purchased via the same bulk contract as at the ford factory and have lesser tread depth??? You may want to check tread depth, just a curious thought.
OEM tires are custom made and there can be changes in not only tread depth but maybe in composition also (quieter running or ?). There are many versions of 225/60/r18 Primacy for different oem's. The after market ones are compromises among all versions and each different version will have its own "VPN" aka Vendor Part Number. I believe Fords is 72282. Include "OEM" in your searches for brand and size.

If it's within 30 days and has a discount coupon stop by dealer for the discount.
That’s funny because I did get a discount and I didn’t know why

Ford sends out an email for new tires exactly one-year after I take delivery. Hypothesizing about the reasoning
A. Ford thinks everyone needs new tires every year
B. The OEM tires have an expected life of about one year
C. The usual spam
D. All of the above
(I know it could be a poll, but the poll UI is not working for me)

I get an official looking notice at least once a month for insurance for parts and breakdowns, etc. Don't mind so much in the winter, good for starting the woodburner.

Same old song and dance.
They, them, are just trying to get in your wallet before someone else does.
Marketing tactics are as refined as well as combat tactics.
They send the advertising so often because when the day comes you decide you need a product or service your already trained, brainwashed and conditioned to remember what was in your face most often.

I cannot fathom the cost of all that mailing and printing against the actual profit on a set of tires.
