you lucky duck !
congratulations.

What is 5K ADM?
thanks
It is $5,000 Additional Dealer Markup over the MSRP. From what I have seen that is about average what dealers are asking for a Maverick that is for sale in their lot.

If anyone is looking to get a Lariat, Ford of Kirkland has a Carbonized Grey Metallic First Edition. It's not on their site yet but I believe it will get listed with $10k ADM. They quickly dropped to $5k ADM but I can wait for my order for that amount.

I paid 34k with X plan and thought that was still too much lol. 5-10k over is not worth it imo.

Picked up the Maverick on Monday from Ford of Kirkland- at MSRP as promised.
Did you place a build order through them? They had the worst markups in WWa when I was shopping.

Is Ford of Kirkland and Hyundai of Kirkland the same dealer? When I was shopping Santa Cruzes, they were the only regional dealer that would do MSRP, if you did a $500 deposit. SC's could not be ordered. But they would try to locate you a vehicle in their distribution queue and hold it for you. I did not like that delivery method.

This one and a Rapid Red has been listed thru other sites for them for weeks now. I asked about both and was told that they were customers orders. $42k

Ordered 6/15, picked up on 12/18 @ Evergreen Ford in Issaquah. No dealer markup for pre-order, if you wanted to buy one that day, they tacked on $5k to MSRP regardless of model.

It’s been waiting for pickup for two weeks and was finally able to get it home. Great mpg on the way home! Love the truck but hate the stop/start at lights, going to get the auto stop eliminator for sure.

I've gotten used to the auto stop/start. I used to loathe it. Now I mildly dislike it. Works better than other vehicles I've driven with it.

Really, I like it a lot. But there is one issue that is so negative to me that it skews me feelings significantly. The thing I don't like about it is that the engine idles so quietly, I actually don't know when it turns itself off. I know there is an icon in the cluster, but I never notice it really. And then when I got to make an urgent jump into traffic, there is a slight hesitation that kinda causes me to freak out.

In time, I will adjust my habits. And it will be fine. But I have a mini anxiety attack sometimes when I need to make a quick jack rabbit jump from go, and it hesitates.

Other than risking my life sometimes, I think it's great. 😂 :p

I'll chime in on auto stop/start too. I kinda disliked it at first, but have grown to not mind it. It seems to me like it's gotten smoother in the 1500 miles I've put on the truck.

There is a busy light with a green ball left turn that is iffy every day coming home on my commute. I have to cross two lanes of oncoming traffic and I don’t want any hesitation making it more difficult. I’ll just disable it permanently as my daily driving has very few stops aside from my death turn so it will be of little benefit and perhaps I’ll save some wear on the engine long term. Just ordered the autostop eliminator.

Next up for accessories -

Seat Covers
Canopy OR ladder rack+tonneau
Front window tint to match back

I added the Aeroskin hood protector on my build but on the photos I thought it had a bit of a scoop shape to deflect bugs and rocks up over the windshield - turns out it's flush with the hood and is just a guard on the front to prevent dings to the leading edge of the hood. You can see by the photo why I was thinking it had an angled section in the middle. Oh well - https://accessories.ford.com/products/maverick-2022-lund-aeroskin-smoke-hood-protector

Forgot to mention - just 5 mins after picking up my truck I had to go gas it up (mine was a drop ship order to a local dealer and they didn't fill it up as part of the delivery) - immediately got ambushed by a random stranger with questions. Luckily after 4 months of heavy reading on the forum I'm probably more knowledgeable than most Ford dealer sales staff.

Only question I couldn't answer was "how do you like it so far"....I had to laugh as I'd only driven it across the street for gas.

Guess I better get used to the fame until there are more of these on the road. Got a lot of looks on the I-5 as well, people speeding up to pass then slowing down when they get next to you.

Yeah. Not many out there. I think I saw BGN'S Maverick at Trader Joe's 2 Friday's ago. I have had people check mine out, wave and stop me in the parking lot and ask questions.

Yes. Back in early July, the process started with a reservation through the Ford site. Part of that process including identifying the dealer where the order would be placed. Prior to the reservation, I had called a few Ford dealerships in the area. Most knew less about the Maverick than I did. Of course, this was just a few weeks after the official launch, and a few months before they started building production trucks. The Ford of Kirkland contact was familiar with the truck, and agreed to sell it at MSRP. Ford of Kirkland then put in the official order, and a few hours later I received the confirmation email from Ford.

It was a different way to buy a truck. Normally, there is a lot of shopping for the best price, and haggling with salesman. This time it was through the Ford site and at MSRP.
