My understanding was that to schedule production, they ( @Ford ) waited until they had all necessary build components on site/confirmed. To delay a month just 6 days after scheduling something must have shifted dramatically wouldn't you think?
I could believe the reallocation of chips to more profitable builds, but that is extremely short term thinking for a long term company. They don't need to bump the stock price right now unless they intend to unload stock. Other thought would be issue at factory - machine issues, employee issues....

Thoughts?
im thinking COVID issues with employees up and down the chain but it’s just an hypothesis.

These delays don't bode well for those of us that haven't got a build date at all. If you guys are being pushed into mid April already, where are they going to fit in the rest of us? I'm a late August guy and can realistically see another five months to go.

I find it hard to believe that Ford is going to be able to fill all the 2022 orders.
I ordered 11/15 and confirmed. I'll never see it. Not losing sleep. It's just a truck.

please don’t listen to others on here about stock price and reallocation of chips to other models they have absolutely no evidence of this. As for the stock it’s flat on the month and up 25% on the 3 month chart. The entire market dipped this month but ford has held up considerably well all things considered.

Rescheduling looks to be focused on hybrid orders here based on the amount of comments. They could have received a bad batch of chips as has happened already or another supply chain issue. These trucks will eventually come!

Well I'm going to go out on a limb and say my 7/7 hybrid doesn't get scheduled today with all the hybrids with date getting pushed back. Awesome.
Unfortunately that wouldn't surprise me. My hybrid build week has been pushed back twice in the past 3 days already.

Seems like special ordering should be dropped and should never have been the method of purchasing a Maverick. They should just build what they can, let dealers order and you buy it off the lot. Same amount of cars built and sold with a lot less pissed off customers.
I don't disagree, but I think the old way of vehicle purchasing will be a thing of the past, probably all brands, based on this article

Ford is greedy and bit off more than they could chew knowing all the supply chain constraints with covid. Never will I deal with Ford again. They should have stopped orders well before 11/15. Thier investors mean more than thier customers. They should be held accountable, but in this day and age no one is.

Wow if you guys are getting pushed back until April I can only imagine what my build date will be since I'm not even scheduled yet. At this point really don't think I'm getting it this year...

Good riddens, less whiney people on this forum, when I go to the grocery store every week and something I normally buy isn't available I don't sit there and whine blaming the manufacturer or grocery store for being greedy, short sighted, etc etc, I rationally understand that there's a global supply chain crisis, a pandemic, a labor shortage, a transportation shortage. I can't believe how much people cry over something as arbitrary as a freaking vehicle when so many people in the world have legitimate problems. First world problems for sure.

I could care less...it's just a truck. I'm not kissing Fords ars. All I'm saying is they intentionally overbooked on all thier popular models to drive up thier share price. The supply chain issue and covid is nothing new and Ford should have been realistic in thier production scheduling.

Agree with you on a lot of that but for some people (like me) these trucks are how we make a living in the first world.
