When I "Pre-Ordered" the truck June 9th. Ford was advertising; Pre-Order your Maverick now and you will be driving it this fall" Well I took Ford for what they said and it bit me in the butt.
That F-150 you have is effing SWEET!! What year?

It means the APR will not go towards the full price, but instead, just what is left after I put a down payment on it.
Look, it might make you feel better to know that you are saving up for the truck. I would encourage that...in fact I would encourage you to be in a position where you don't have any payments. My point is that from an economic standpoint, it is meaningless, other than the "well, my truck keeps getting delayed but at least I am saving more down payment" psychological aspect.

But you are deferring the use of the truck, and that has a cost...either financially or even just the pleasure of having something new. Otherwise, why are you buying it...

I'm picking on you a bit here, just pointing out that people rationalize all the time.

What is the specific reason for the bump in production dates? Is it chips? Ford should at least have the courtesy and transparency to inform thier customers the reason for the delays.

This forum is devolving into a cesspool of conspiracy theories and tempter tantrums about a budget vehicle no one needs that has debuted in a time of unprecedented supply chain issues.

You'll get your truck when you get it. Ford owes you nothing until you've paid for the truck.

Man, this shit is exhausting
Ah, the way of the world today. This whole process has made me a much more patient person.

1996, It's a pretty clean truck 5.8L and the E4OD tranny. just installed 4.56 gears and Lockers in both ends
I miss our 1989 Ford F-150. We traded ol' "Big Bitch Bertha" in for my husband's 2016 Ford F-150 XLT. Poor old girl was slipping into senility.

Got the coveted scheduled for production email six days ago, scheduled for March 13. New date is April 11.
Same here. Disappointing, but no big deal.

Not shocked. Not gonna piss and moan about it, just sharing the update. Details in my signature.
Sorry to hear that man. Thankfully my build date was pushed up and it should be built in a week if all goes well.

That sucks, but at least you got a build date. Think of this way... everyone behind you with a hybrid order (like me) also got delayed a month, they just don't know it yet. I guess I should set my sights on getting my truck in June, but at this rate who knows.
Or as Alfred, Lord Tennyson might have said "Better to have been scheduled and rescheduled than never to have been scheduled at all".

I ordered my XLT EcoBoost 4K on 1/25. I'm going to spend all my waiting time saving up for the down payment. The longer they take, the less it'll end up costing me.
I order on 8 October 2021. Was saving prior and saving more ever since. Might have it paid off if it arrives in July. Still no build date, but thinking May, June or July...

Rec'd email 12/9 for Feb 14 build. Last week updated email with projected build date of March 7. I share your disapointment. I quit talking about Maverick w/ family& friends......they are tired of hearing about it! šŸ˜†šŸ¤£

Hi, FRUSTRATING!!!!! Mine finally arrived Jan 29. Ordered on Aug 7. XL hybrid. Came with a radiator leak so I had to wait for that To be handled. It was quicker than I thought To fix. While they had it they did the bed liner spray and mud flaps. I didn't like the rims they offered so I opted for the xl and got silver sparkle until they make some decent looking rims. It's harder to get nice ones in Canada right now. So I'll wait.
BE PATIENT. IT IS A FANTASTIC TRUCK......I LOVE IT.

All of this feels completely random. I ordered from Quirk Ford in Quincy. (Shout out to Tom who explained the process easily and I had a confirmation email right away. A few dealers I spoke with sounded like they were making sh*t up and got a little condescending when I suggested my research didn’t match what they were telling me 😔). I finally got a 3/7 build date last week…but fortunately for me, got an email last night saying it was moved up to 2/21. (Ordered 9/2/21). I have no confidence I won’t get another email telling me it’s been bumped to April/May so it is hard to get excited by this. I feel most for all the people who haven’t even got an order confirm from Ford but their dealer is telling them it’s in…that would give me high anxiety…(not saying the order isn’t in!)
AND…I just got an email pushing my build back to the original week of March 7th.
