Weekend Rivian R1T

Probably a fun vehicle to drive. Should be for 80K.

Possibly the dumbest looking front end ever conceived. I still laugh, or cringe, whenever I see one.

People used to remark that the “smiling” Mazda front ends looked like they came right out of a ‘Cars’ cartoon.
Rivians look even goofier.

Too bad, the company started out with a clean slate. They could have hired a struggling California auto designer and hit it out of the ballpark.

I do like that color though. Most of the Rivians around here, and we have a lot of them, sport that shade.

My next door neighbor has a Rivian SUV. It was north of a 100k + charger hook-up+++.etc. We are in Houston. He drove to Austin to see friends one weekend and spent the whole weekend going to Whole Foods to get 4hr charges. He got back to Houston, Monday morning. The shine was definitely off the Esteemed Rivian! He commutes about 4 miles a day. A perfect 100k vehicle for the task! LMAO!

I’m not completely sold on electric vehicles. It was very fast and the one pedal driving was pretty cool but I couldn’t get over the range anxiety. And my house only has regular 120 outlets so charging all night only gave 20 miles of range.
