Was airbag recall extended to 2023?

On my way to dealer an hour away and he called and said my new truck had airbag recall and I can't get it.

I thought the airbag recall was on 2022 only.

He told me they have no private offer which is what I'm on my way to push back on. I'm over 500 days and can't believe I got to wait a month or longer Still.

I thought the airbag recall was only up to trucks produced up to middle of last year. I have an august 2022 production date and have had no recalls?

There is no airbag recall on 2023 models..you have a huge communication snafu going on here.

Show them this and ask where they are seeing your truck has the recall! Sounds like they would prefer to not sell to you so they can make some quick cash! Tim Bartz says and shows exactly how they can find your private offer!

He called this morning truck is in, no private offer. I texted I'm on way to talk about that.

He then calls and says air bag recall on my just delivered to them 23. I told him I thought only 22s.

Ok airbag issue was figured out. I checked online and there are no recalls. So I walked in and said there are no airbag recalls holding up my truck. So they took me to the service department and when they called the service manager over, he said "there are no recalls on the truck, its a seatbelt issue"

Apparently when they pulled it off the transport truck, the airbag light came on and wouldnt go out, the service manager said it was a seatbelt issue that they had to fix and the parts are backordered. He already had the passenger mid pillar taken apart when I looked at the truck.

The big show came on the discussion about the private offer. I think I'll make a seperate thread on that. Some dealers have no clue about it and get aggravated and iritated when you try to help them.

That sucks, sorry about that. My 2023 has the "0 Unrepaired Recalls" message when I check the VIN.

"It's a recall issue....no....Its a seat-belt issue".....and dealers wonder why they get a bad rap.....
