Volksnuts,
Your Maverick is very tastefully done. Great color combo, both exterior and wheels.
Great stance. You did a nice job installing the hitch cover.
What did you do with you hitch plug? How did you mount it? Or did you just unplug it and remove it from your bumper? I do not want to cut the cover for the 4K plug.
Thank you
Max

I zip tied it to the back of the hitch just in case

Thank you. My Oxford White Lariat BAP, AWD, Moon Roof, Tri cover, Lux, 360, 360+, 4K, Spray in. is due in any day. Built and shipped 5/3 sitting in New Orleans, hopefully ships to dealer this week?
It is going to be a daily driver. I am going to start the progress.
I have 20x9 wheels, Michelin 255x45x20, H&R Super Sport Springs.
Fabricating SS Strut tower brace. Plus some miscellanies parts
Thank you for the quick response. Good luck with your ongoing build.
Nice ride.

An attempt was made, luckily I have a second set of speaker grills
Plan didn’t go as I’d hoped…. Figured I could just use a heat gun to deform the grills to go over the tweeters
Which technically they did but the covers a bowed a bit and look terrible up close
First time using a heat gun trying to reform some plastic
So I’ll leave them in for now, maybe I’ll have a better idea for the other set of grills

What if you made a plate with a hole the size of the bump out and clamped it to the speaker grill before heating? This way it will keep the rest of the grill flat and also just put the heat where you want it.

The grill isn’t flat to begin with
Might just put some grill cloth over the whole thing to hide the ugly
OR my personal favorite….. just don’t look at it close up

I love that idea! How hard were the tweeters to install in the factory location? Do you have any pics?

I just went back through the entire thread…. Sure has been a journey
Embarrassing that the audio system has been a nearly 5 month process, lol
Well hopefully it’ll be wrapped up soon (totally should be done this weekend)
For sure need the backseat back in before I have to leave it at the airport for 5 days

It was Porsche day, LOTS of amazing cars there
Unsure if anyone noticed it, but I think it looks cool…. And that is all that matters to me
