Driving impressions?
It’s got bells and whistles
Not having a charger at home makes it a struggle
It’s fine to drive but it’s hella ugly
I wouldn’t pay $50k for one
$30k maybe but for the wife
I drive too much to deal with 300 miles of range
But if someone gave me one to use as a purely work commuter, I wouldn’t be mad

One pedal drive is the best

Finally got the box sealed
Never again will I use this method again
I had to cut some access holes in the baffle to get to one corner that I couldn’t get to
Added a 3/4 top piece to cover the hole and stiffen up the current baffle
Feels so good to be past that!
Lol
Still need to put in the EQ so I can even things out
Looks the same as before, sounds way different

I guess to document the changes made

picked it up a little over a week ago (November order)

Hot Pepper Red Lariat Lux FX4
Rolling on Vision Monaco 20x8.5 with 245/45/20 Falkens
Lowered via Scale coilovers (low version)
Lots of little things added (tailgate strut, hood struts, Buschur intake, window tint)
A couple of modifications of note:
Retro fit a/c controls with the temp screens from a 21 Bronco Sport
Editing this part real quick
The Bronco Sport controls caused a fault in my drive mode selection so I ended up switching to an Escape control panel that works flawlessly
Some people have been able to use the Bronco one with no issue
I guess your mileage may vary

There will be many mods to come as I have time and trying to wait on products to be released
I’m not good at fabricating things so I try to not if I can help it
Let’s see if anyone notices what was done in this last pic (and it’s not the removal of the headrests)

wow, Booyah thats pretty nefty.

How did the fog lights work out? and what did that take from start to finish?

I am heavily interested in the clean look.

@Vtec87pr1 is the guy to talk to about fog lights
I’m not happy with how I installed them, but they look good enough for now (I ended up trimming too much of the bumper!!! I forgot how small the lights were because I was using the F150 light buckets to mount them)

Not super stoked about the way the DQDX had to be mounted but that stupid power sliding window motor was in the way so I had to raise it up
Since the DQDX is thin it still sits about as high as the amps
Once I get the tuning squared away I’ll put the back seat back in
One weird thing is as soon as I installed the DQDX the highs started to sound like they were installed in a can
I’m sure it’s something I can correct with adjustments, but it just seemed odd to me to change the sound that much

Now that I got the enclosure sealed fully, the bass is everything I hoped and dreamed
I’m not sure any of the 8” options would compare….. maybe some high end 10’s might…. But I’m just glad it worked out
I was getting worried
Ford Maverick volksnuts’ Lariat Maverick build IMG_1449

you can see the seat spacers in the corners to raise the seat up
And I had to use wide angle to get everything head on
Ford Maverick volksnuts’ Lariat Maverick build IMG_1452

Also note that the auto dimming mirror I installed refuses to stay up when the bass is shaking everything

Turns out I forgot I made some adjustments to the box AFTER I trimmed all the plastics, so they now need additional trimming which I’ll do later when I get the tuning all worked out

Took the time to clean the truck really well (and vacuum the interior)
It was super dusty and had a lot of sawdust everywhere
I’m going to have to talk to my Detailer about this windshield protection they installed…. It’s turning or something… unsure what’s going on with it
He told me it was a new product back then so he’ll def like to see it’s jacked up

Only took one pic after I parked in my wife’s parking spot (it started sprinkling)
