2024 2.0 here, do any of you have any smell in the cabin? I'm on my second can and hoses from them and still have a faint smell especially when getting out of the truck.
I know it's hooked up correctly and the unit is doing it's job.
Never had any odor on my F-150 when I had it.
Thanks for any help.

What's your setup? PCV (dirty) side can only, or both? Did you buy the check valve?

If all of your connections are sealed well, I think the only way you would have odor escaping is if the PCV side can is pressurizing when under boost. This would occur if your PCV valve doesn't completely seal off the manifold boost pressure. The check valve should eliminate that back pressure if that is the issue.

Dirty side only and I did not add the check valve. UPR never mentioned anything about adding a check valve. You can actually smell the oil on the actual hoses like it's bleeding through. I'm on my third set of hoses from them.
May just put it back to stock this weekend and be done with it.

I have absolutely no odor with mine. It installed without problems in 10 minutes and does catch a small amount of oil vapor in the can. (dirty side).

I know you say that your’s in installed correctly but if I were you I would double check everything to make sure it’s not hooked up backward.
You could start the engine and pull a hose off to see if you have suction on the correct side.

Or as you mentioned, you might want to just put your old system back on.
I assume that everything was working for you before you installed the UPR catch can. When you mentioned that you are on your third set of hoses, that tells me it’s not the hoses that are bad. Be pissed if you want to but the 'by far most likely issue' is that you either installed it bass-akward or that you broke the PCV valve during the installation of the hoses.
Good luck to you.

UPR makes great stuff and is a great company.

When I got mine in May 2024, my wife told me it smelled like manure. And she says it still has a faint smell of it....

I've seen these mentioned as replacement hoses for UPR kits. These supposedly don't leak vapors like the Continental hoses UPR kits have.

Thanks for the feedback, I went the cheap route and wrapped the hoses in heat tape and the smell is gone.

I wanted to post a quick follow-up on this for those who have, or are looking to buy a UPR catch can kit.

As previously mentioned in this thread UPR's kits come packaged with air-line hoses. They're quality hoses, but they aren't designed for PCV vapors and as such, the smell of the PCV vapors eventually leach through the hose and really smell bad.

The Gates hoses I mentioned above are specified for PCV use, and don't allow the vapors to penetrate the wall material, eliminating the smell. The best, cheapest source of them by the foot is RockAuto. For the dirty (PCV) side, search for Gates part #27004 (3/8" hose) and for the breather side, search for part #27008 (5/8" hose).
