I am 6 ft tall and this is what I see from my eyes for a view. I can still see my entire dash with zero windshield blockage. Definitely not too tall.

Maybe not to see over. Still looks ugly like it was a last minute laptop add on. The Teslas look really goofy with their big screen too.

The cubby looks more like an afterthought. Such a waste of space. This screen fits the space perfectly centered unlike the 25+ screen and retains all physically controls. It should have been like this from the beginning.

Damn that review mirror is massive. I probably wouldn’t notice the 12” screen either with that thing staring me in the face!

I hated how tiny the OEM mirror looked. This clip on shows much more and my blind spots.

I'd do this to mine for $800 tops.

Let me know when the 66% off coupon comes out.

Thanks.

(I did splurge for a $13 auto dimming mirror....) YOLO

😊
I’m 💯 with you for 1000 or less! But where did you get the 13 mirror!?

That's pretty much the consensus of most of the members. It's as though the engineers/designers didn't check the stock and so manufacturing slapped in whatever they had in order to get these trucks out the factory door.
It had nothing to do with "...the engineers/designers didn't check the stock." It had to do with this little event called a PANDEMIC!

It's obvious that Ford designed the Maverick for the lager screen from day 1 given the fact that they put the storage bin beside the original screen. It always looked as if SOMETHING was supposed to fill that space.
Correct. The something happened called a "Pandemic" which greatly affected the supply chain. Instead of delaying everybody's truck for 2years, they came up with the best available solution.

Supply chain delays. Hadn't thought about that, but that seems to be the actual culprit.

actually, I figure that some kudos are due for a design that could have a substitution made.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share a quick review of something I’ve been excited about; I upgraded my 2022 Maverick to the 12" SYNC 4 touchscreen display system from @infotainment (Infotainment.com) and figured I’d post my experience for anyone on the fence about doing the same.

Honestly, the upgrade made a way bigger difference than I expected.

The first thing you notice is obviously the screen size. Going from the stock display to the 12" screen completely changes the feel of the interior. Everything looks sharper, brighter, and a lot more modern. Android Auto takes up more space, making the menus easier to use, and the whole system just feels faster and smoother overall.

After a few days with it, it really does feel like this is how the Maverick should’ve come from the factory.

I made a video showing the screen in action and a quick follow-along of my install. It’s not meant to be a full tutorial, more just to show what the upgrade looks like in real life and how straightforward the process was on my end. If you have questions I don't mind offering my insights. :)
My video(Google drive since it is to large for the Forum): Google Drive Infotainment.com 12" SYNC 4

But if you’re planning on doing the install yourself, I definitely recommend following Infotainment.com’s official install video since they walk through everything step by step way better than I could:
And here’s the exact kit I installed:
Product page
Official install guide from Infotainment.com

I’m still spending more time with it, so I’ll post updates if anything changes long-term. But at this point I’d easily recommend it to anyone who’s been wishing the Maverick had a bigger, more premium infotainment setup.
